I'll be planting the first of the 'first wave' on the 31st, 1st and 2nd (I have no choice anymore as I really need to make space and the night temperaturs are forecasted to climb within the acceptable range by then) the rest will be in the ground by the 10th.

Then I start the 'second wave' (experiments, backups). Grown for 21 days under 22hours of light they will be planted out on june 21st.

Going out tonight, with my durban clones,
55 North.
Can feel it in my uneasy stomach, better not get stopped.
14 one foot plants really smell up a car.

I dont know anything about growing outdoors expcially in Cali but check out Rare Dankness HTCC winners in LA and Amersterdam I think their Moonshine Haze Sativa took first place, I just picked up a pack of OG Ghost Train Haze #1 I mostly run hybrids and I want me some sativa dom plants in my collection.

im waiting until the 7th-10th as well....althought im tempted to throw some outdoors and see what happens...veg room has been tapered down as well....lights on at 6am and turn off at 10pm..

some of my OGs are already almost 6x3 feet in ten gallons....cant wait to put them outside! i hardened a few off in the sun the other day and they were lovin it...

interesting to hear moonshine won the HTCC with those ghost train hazes...looked like some purdy cannabis from the pics he posted last year.

I think he won with his moonshine haze not the og ghost train hazes. Either way Im hoping the OGGTH is just as good and htc winner

ps I cant wait to see these 200Gal outdoor plants.

Has anybody planted their clones outdoors yet? Who is waiting until the 7th-10th?

The sun rise and sunset times between now and june 5 have an 11 minute difference.

Thats not enough to make them trigger imo.

Most growers who have problems with flowering clones are usually bringing them out from 18/6 or straight 24.....imho a supplemental light regiment with a decreasing time of 'on' as May passes usually leads to perfect clones.

I had a WW x BB start to try and flower which was planted three weeks ago... another clone of the same type went in 10 days later and was not stunted @ 46 deg North

^interesting, maybe i will start putting a few ladies outside..

Yea you should. I already put out mine first week of May. The earliest group is doing the best but others are catching up as they get older the difference gets very obvious. Alas, its about timing too.

No supplemental lighting for those ladies put out in the beginning of May?

O seed, that is different. I put my first wave of outdoors plants out in March, those were seeds, no problems.

Yea... I'm still using seeds. I still have trouble with clone up keeping. Pretty soon I hope that I will build up a stable when I renovate my indoor space this summer. :ying:

Put out a few plants around a week ago and they are fairing alright, but not as well as the ones in the veg shed, they started to flower a little but are starting to revert and grow leaves again. I think the few cold ngihts we had on the hill last week was the biggest culprit.

Growing more seeds this year than I usually do, Plushberry, Jillybean, Grandoggy, Chem x OG. Headband and pre 98 bubba are my favorite strains to grow outdoors, I do a few of those every year. We also have a strain called boost down here that is lights out for outdoors.

Snow? Snow dog? what is the linage?

Snow is an Oregon strain, came out of bend im pretty sure. Smoked a lot of it in college, SUPER frosty. I think the poster above me was correct in it being an Afghan hybrid I think with some old school widow in there to bring out the frost.
