Devastated Over The Death Of My Best Friend...

My best friend of 20 years, died today. His name was Walter Jewell. Not sure HOW to deal with this, as I cant handle death very good of someone very close to me....

He fought long and hard, but his body could not handle what was being done to him. Kidney and Liver problems, those caused his heart to fail, he was on dialysis 3 times a week....

I was up all night, not able to sleep, got up 3 times to smoke, to get back to sleep. Now that i look back at last night, WALT was talking to me all night, that's why i couldn't sleep. I remember thinking, don't tell me your fucking leaving BRO!! Its NOT time!!!

Got to sleep, woke up and forgot about him talking to me. Working all morning, it was furthest from my mind....

Then I got the devastating text from his wife that he JUST passed, And my life was absolutely crushed....

Then i look on my computer, and my best friend wished me a Happy Birthday this morning on Facebook. Bday is on Sunday, he wanted to tell me before it was his time...

Ive got to go...

i know utterly devastating it is to lose someone very important to you

in a very real way he lives on in you , i'm sure pain is not what he would want you to be experiencing now

you still have a chance to let him live on by the deeds and actions you take based on his influence

in a very real sense his afterlife is the memory that lives on in you so take care of the person it resides in

time will be your friend as well

light and love

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.

Sorry for your loss, krunch.

that sucks... but, you guys were brothers, he knew it and you know it. its hard now, but soon when you think of him, all you'll remember is laughing and great times. one of my best friends told me that if he dies, hes going to mess with me from beyond. everytime something really strange happens, i know it is just Jeff f'ing with me. that gets me thinking of all the good times....

keep your head up, he wants it that way.....

I'm sorry man, it really does feel like they're here one second and gone the next. It does sound like it may have been his time to be at peace. Almost as if even he knew, which is why he wished u happy bday early. You were clearly that important to him, but we can't stop the inevitable even if it feels like a distant future and not today. Sorry for your loss Krunch.

Oh Man! Reading these actually makes me feel alot better, appreciate the support, its going to be rough...

Remembering that Walt led to me to the path of growing cannabis and I would NOT be no where I am today.....

At 15, he gave me Ed Rosenthals Indoor Growing Bible, read that thing so many times, the pages fell out! Started growing then and there...

At 20, I stopped growing because I had a girl. Things didn't work out, my daughter and her mother split to Oregon...

At that point I had a choice, Move up to where my mom lives and start a softshell crab growing business, and possibly have it fail at any time OR, I could move in with Walt and stay where I grew up....

I choose to stay with Walt. I slept on the couch, not even a blanket or a pillow! Within a week of moving in, I was a manager at a Hydro Shop and within a few months of that, I was head gardening consultant at 3 Cannabis clubs, and it just rick rolled from there....

So, I can easily say, my WHOLE cannabis growing career, was because of him....

Well, SHIT!! I can actually say, I would NOT of had my daughter if it wasn't for him, he introduced me to her mother....

all the good that you felt for 20 years is why it hurts so fuckin bad now krunch. being blessed with a true friend has a price, and it hurts like hell when you are the one left alone.

no magic words here krunch. remember the good times you had, it will get you through this even though it seems impossible right now

i hope you and walter's family can find some peace

RIP walter
