Hello,

I'm new to these types of forms, however, I am not new to the enjoyment, and benefits of using marijuana. I have been a responsible user for over 20 years, and have just recently decided to try my hand at growing just enough to satisfy my personal needs. I came to this decision when I learned the guy I normally buy from has been selling hard drugs, as well as selling pot to kids.

While I don't think there is a problem with responsible adults using and enjoying marijuana I do feel that kids have no business accessing it, much like they have no business accessing alcohol or tobacco!

I have decided to use an Aerogarden Extra (3 lamps in the hood) to grow a feminized easy Ryder seed for my first ever grow.

I am not terribly interested in yield for my first go around, I'm more interested in the lessons I will learn for the next grow.

welcome to icmag, as has been said, you made the right choice. if you are gonna smoke you better smoke home grown. with a bit of care and attention to detail you will soon be supplying yourself some better cannabis then you've ever smoked before. just need the right genetics grown in the right conditions. for learning to grow i don't think auto's are your best bet, unless it's to be out doors? i'm told they are getting better and better, but if you are growing 1 female only, you need to make it something that has really good reviews in the fem department. the Green House seeds exodus feminized comes to mind. every single seed sprouted and made a tasty female that smokes so close to the exodus cheese clone that it's hard to tell some phenos apart from the original. anyway best of luck.

Thanks for the encouragement, I am growing one feminized Easy Ryder seed ordered from Joint Doctor. I will be growing inside, and my first (maybe more if it works) grow is in an Aerogarden Extra, the one with 7 pod spaces and 3 lamps in the hood. My goal is to be able to provide my own supply and know exactly what is in it, and where it came from!

I got one of those Aerogarden's for my folks for Christmas, if it works half as well at growing dope as it does growing tomatoes then it should work fine for a small plant or two :]

Also i am thinking of using two 24 pot vegigators side by side they measure (1mx2m)total area for vegging 48 tomato plants.
what light do i need to cover this area and to have strong vegging
maybe 600w or a 1000w mh or would a 4ft 8x55w tube t5 be any good?
all knowledge and advice will be appreciated.
