Mylar for solar eclipse glasses

Hey

So I want to look at the solar eclipse tomorrow. I'd only ever seen them through the note-card approach, or the pin hole box. I recently saw that you could use mylar glasses. I would buy some tomorrow if I could, but I was wondering if we could use the regular mylar that we use for our rooms?

Thanks!

Sky is awesome.Iphone do a great "night sky"APP where you point the phone at the stars and it tells you the Names of the constellations etc..

you're not supposed to use regular mylar, you're supposed to use aluminized mylar. I made my own using my growroom mylar anyways, 3 layers seemed to be the magic number for me and it works great.

And I wear polarized 3d glasses at the same time... I dunno if that helps with anything at all but I'm hoping it blocks some UV... probably not.
