Is weed spiritually good for you?

we know so little on these matters, that saying god created all this, is really just as valid an explanation as anything lol.

however asserting that we understand that god is rather presumptious, same as claiming its realness.

bless you. :)

so far spirits and gods really are a personal experience, same as dreams.

few claim to have seen and interacted with spirits and such, then again, few tread such paths.

but who is to say dreams are not real? even if they can be explained physically, who´s to say we know about all the dimensions? and what then of spirits?

and how it all really works..

faith is really a personal thing. fighting for your faith is about as inane (and insane)

as throwing virgins into a volcano to appease the gods.

we should be working on peace among man.

personally?

i dont believe in a god.. i know of at least 2 gods..

though whether my encounter with one of them and the feel from the other 2 (the feel from one though might have been from the same as the one i encountered.)

was real or whether they are real or completely real.

i dont know. its not a big issue to me.

hehe what ive just said, might seem very silly to some, but we could say my hobbies in the past have included "some very silly things". :) (depending on what you call silly, some of these things have saved my life on occasion.though im not talking gods then, just mental and energy manipulation stuff (for lack of better words..)

lets just say that, you´d be surprised how much you really are exploring the outer, when you explore the inner space.

It's impossible for anyone else to tell you what is spiritually good for you. If you deep down feel something is spiritually good based on how it effects you and the things you do while experiencing this effect then I say yes it is spiritually good for you but you are ultimately the one who has to decide what is and isn't good for you spiritually as spirtuality is an inner thing that no other human can judge for anyone but themselves.

If you ask a Rastafarian he'll most assuredly tell you it is not only good for your spirituality but essential.

If you ask a Mormon or any hard core Church going Christian he will tell you no it is forbidden by God.

For me I say it is good spiritually because under it's influence I tend to be more compassionate, more tolerant, more loving, less hateful, less judgemental.

I believe cannabis can be good and/or bad for you

as for mdma, they did some tests in the last 2 years (maps) where they managed to heal over a dozen people with post traumatic stress disorder

a lot of these people didn't carry the diagnostic anymore and we're able to work again

the drug, helping them to break the barrier, to be able to confront what they have seen, and open up their hearts and speak to their therapists about what they have experienced

I believe an automated shutdown/withdraw response happens when people have gone through severe trauma and it's very hard to break through

the study said the benefits far outweighed the risks in that situation

I really think there is a place for that chemical in our society

I don't encourage it's recreational use because I couldn't say it's harmless (edit), but I do advocate research on it for the benefit of all

Most religious people hate it cuz it gives us our own train of thought while on it.

Makes it harder for them to recruit more religious fanatics cuz while im on it I dobt wanna hear a damt thing about my sins or how some mythilogical person payed for my sins.

I see most churches/religions as cults,if your not in theyre club your the devil!

Weed frees me of all that jibberish, especially mormons and jahovas but christans and catholics can be equally as wacked out.

It must be bad for you as 'Christians' used to kill people that took drugs, as in the 'dark ages' and before.

If you use it wisely I think you can gain insight and 'spiritual' knowledge. If you use it poorly then the opposite can happen. Same for religion.

well, without god.

we still have to explain, how things came to be, why things came to be.

why things fit as they do.

why life exists, how it came to exist, did it always exist?

why single cell organisms just decide to evolve?

how did life decide to grow eyes?

i dont know about you, but i cant just decide to grow some new organ.

why could the first life forms? and if not.

is life sentient?

the totality of life sentient, somewhat like a beehive?

how did all these rules of come into being?

if life doesnt just decide what next to do (make sexes f.e)

then where are the mutations of life just spontaneously evolving without direction?

why is it that, a creature can be relocated geographically and a few generations later be evolved to fit the location better?

how did such marvelously complex bodies come into being?

now..

im not saying there is a god, but it seems kinda weird, if all this , just happened.

out of all the chaos that could have been, this rather orderly existence is.

doesnt that strike you as odd?

it just happened, clears it up for you?

evolution, big bang and thats it?

watch this dude it will blow your mind. watch the hole thing too. Krauss has a nobel prize.

'A Universe From Nothing' by Lawrence Krauss, AAI 2009

Lawrence Krauss gives a talk on our current picture of the universe, how it will end, and how it could have come from nothing. Krauss is the author of many bestselling books on Physics and Cosmology, including "The Physics of Star Trek."

also why does Lawrence Krauss observe matter in it's smallest observable form popping in and out of existence?

thanks, yeah i knew of this.

why does it pop in and out of existence?

possibly, because its moving so fast (beyond our technology to detect)

that it seems to do that.

and possibly because reality is not what it seems to be, possibly its not real, possibly its a mental construct (all in your mind :)) and so on.

I think too much weed can hurt your spiritually. Sometimes I feel like I'm not doing the right thing when I smoke, especially if it's an indica or I smoke too much. Specifically, since my parents are Christians, I think about "sloth" and "gluttony" when I get the munchies and couchlock. But then again, the very first book in the Hebrew bible says plants with seeds are for people to use as food, so of course God would have meant for us to use cannabis and obviously get high.

well, are you skipping doing anything you should be doing?

personally i think this racing around to get rich or successful (prestige)
rather silly, all this stress is not good for people.

why should life be a struggle, a race? is getting food and shelter so difficult for us? or entertainment?

in time everything will be forgotten, if you have no interest in something, why pursue it?

gluttony, a huge fat person in a room, eating everything, with a bunch of fearful skinny people in the corner comes to mind, lol.

i dont think enjoying eating is a problem unless its either giving you healthproblems or become an obsession "NOM NOM I CANT STOP AND IVE BECOME A WHALE NOM"

a person that would go around witha big BOM BOM except they cant or very obviously in the future cant, without a forklift and demolishing their house. :)

personally i think not taking the bible too seriously is a good thing, since it was written by very primitive people.

Even if they were in communication with angels and god, they still were too primitive to fully understand nor communicate it to others.

and thats not talking about the endless translations by not always competent translators and the possible editing and tampering with the text.

and lots of other stuff..

but so you think it makes you lazy and gluttonous and therefore wrong for you spiritually?

that the only thing about it?

the most Important part of enlightenment

is to decide what it is and what it isn't before you get there

after all, that's what god would do, right

I would say no because true spiritual practice is about taking responsibility and in my experience many if not most people who use it recreationally (including myself) use it as an escape from responsibility.
