First vert grow...

Figured I'd go ahead and start a thread.. This will be my first vert grow so please bare with me.. I've decided that I'm going to run bushes around bare bulbs.. Prolly use 5 or 7 gallon smart pots... I haven't built the rooms yet.. I'll b doing that first of next wk.. I plan on having 2 flower rooms, 1 with 2 1k's and a 600, and the other 2k.. I'll be running Greatful Casey fems, ECSD/Nev'sHz, and White OG V2.0... Got some Honeywell fans and few 8" inline fans.. Hoping they will do the job for ventilation.. I'll post up pics as I get the rooms put together.. Looking forward to getting things rolling.. All input will be greatly appreciated..

So here's what I have to work with.. One room is 5'x10'x10' and the other room is 10'x10'x10' with a closet that is 2'.5"x5' with a spot above that that is 2'x3'.5".. I will be putting these rooms together in the nxt few days..

So I was wondering if I should keep vegging horizontal or throw them in with a vert bulb?? My ECSD//Nev's Hz seedlings are a little over 3wks now.. I plan on running a bush style grow around bare bulbs.. Any and all input appreciated..

Well so fqr I've got the 1k mounted as well as the 8" exhuast fan... Unfortunately for this run I'm only gonna be able to add the 600... That will be added when flowering starts...

If bush I'd say let them get as big as they can very horizontal.... I vegged vertical for the first few nodes and switched back to horizontal and I can say that all my lower branches are very well developed and helped to keep the plant sizes small. Had I trained them to a net it would have been really interesting.

what are you cooling the room with ? also with 8 plants around that 1000 build either some screens behind each plant that can be moved back away from the light so you wont be letting one plant crowd out the ones on the sides of it. looks like you have the room to do so or build a big cirlce cage around the light but i prefer the screens behind the plants

Thanks Josey.. I was gonna get some chicken wire and make a barrier and keep the plants out of the light.. I've got plenty of room to move the plants around...

Note to self: Build burn screen around 1000W vert bulb.I need one of these, I even have the 6' fence but my room hasn't been clear enough to bring it in.That 1000 w lamp turns into a devil once you bring it vertical and I think a good 20" should be plant free, if you have something to keep plants from flopping in you'll have loads less to worry about...So far after almost 2yrs I can't remember growing only horizontal...but even cooltube stacks with a/c air blowing up won't eliminate that blaze zone....I have great results vegging hor then flowering vert.My rooms do have both horizontal and vert lamps, I'm also a cooltube and a coco junkie. The 1000W vert bulb has brought plants into my garden I'd never dreamed of, just wear those glasses!!!!

Thanks for stoppin in Chaco... These lovely ECSD/Nev's Hz are your creation... Tomorrow making that cage.. Getting some chicken wire and other supplies.. The room is cooled with a EcoPlus Supreme 8" inline rated at 780 cfm.. I'll be adding a 10k btu window a/c when I add the other bulb.. The fan is mounted at the top of the wall center the room.. Tomorrow the females will get their 3g smart pots, cuts taken, and the lights flipped...

Yea either on low or med., not on high, you want to just aid with the heat rising. Basically helping push up and out your exhaust. Too high will just push the heat around your room...
