I thought it was a good illustration of the complexity and "magic" of the fungi world. It shows how much we don't understand about the world at our feet.

Have you ever read "Mycelium Running" by Paul Stamets? He's the guy that runs Fungi Perfecti.........it's a great book that describes all the complex activities performed by fungi.

It was a deadly fad. Ants inhaling spores.
"But mom, all the other young ants are doing it", she kept hearing over and over and over and over and over and over, you get the idea, she had a lot kids. You know ants.
She had never been known as a fungal, but she did have a parasites.

I hijacked my own damn thread. Hitchhikers are welcome, the driver's nuts.
I liked where you were going with parasitism.
It all deserves our respect.
I've read some of Paul Stamets' writings in "Mycelium Running" and hopefully can get further into it this summer.
Need to learn how to grow chanterelles in the desert
