Going to jail...

They might not bother with the computer stuff, but it might depend on the state. Some places still consider weed to be a serious crime, like Oklahoma where you can get life in prison for making hash. If they're willing to put someone in prison for life, they'd be willing to spend a couple thousand to have a company analyze the hard drive. Forensic recovery can be cheap these days. Lots of private companies do this for a relatively small fee, so it's easier than ever for cops (or anyone else) to recover info.

I still think that even if they recovered questionable photos on one's hard drive, but never had an actual garden/bust/product/sale they'd be hard pressed to actually have a case. I doubt a prosecutor would pursue it because its just not enough evidence.

I could have pictures of me standing proud in front of a garden and its still not enough. It could have been taken in one of the 16 med states. It cant be proved that its actually cannabis. It may not even be mine. It could be me photoshopped onto some internet photo.. the list goes on.

If they really wanted to nail your ass I guess they could come up with some type of conspiracy charge and hope it sticks, but the bottom line is prosecutors like easy convictions.. convicting someone because they have photos of them in front of a garden is not gonna happen.

But in any sense we're getting off track here...
Its good to be safe in all regards.. OP should take this threat of trouble and take the simple measures to eliminate this threat. (anything illegal ... not his ex ). Its really that simple.

he is small time, personal grow, they dont care about his computers. if real money was involved or they wanted to work up the ladder they may bother

genius idea. I have a couple locked away for this very reason

this really sucks! if you dont trust your partner then dont let them know you grow at all.
but to do things like making sex tapes just for in case.....
bad future and bad karma :ying:

good luck to you kush

Hell, it sounds like she has something beside pot on you. It it is pot pictures, remove all of your real plants and replace with a look alike plant and grow it as well as you can. Then, if they bust in, show them the seed packs (false arrailia or such) and explain you were playing a joke on her that went bad. If it is some other deal like sex crimes or heavy shit, you need to start paying her off and kiss her ass while staying away as much as possible to get the thing way down the road. You might check with a lawyer to find out if there is a statute of limitations and what it is but be cautious in doing so. If you run, go somewhere that will legally help your position if caught. And if you are not charged or turned in yet, it might be a better decision to split but be sure to take your stuff as it costs a lot to move. I think legal advice might be best for you. You cannot figure out the best moves to make until you have a true handle on the problem...and being depressed about it helps nothing...

The real issue isn't women or men. It's simply being a better judge of character and knowing yourself BEFORE you get to the stage of a relationship where you put your freedom in their hands.

More than likely it has to do with the kid and leverage with the pot. When she threatened him he should have chopped like everyone else said. Divorcing and growing pot is not a good combination.

Your wife,Partner needs to be just as involved as you are. I would not feel comfortable with anyone that did not like cannabis. you have to have a lot of the same interests. For me cannabis is a big part of my life, My GF,wife will at least need to love the herb as much as me.

well his account is gone so I guess bad shit went down

Hopefully he just followed the advice here and cleaned house. I still can't believe sometimes that there are people out there who will ruin your life over a plant.
