what strains are best?

hi, hope this is in the right section. looking for some opinions on what strains i should get. I'm looking for the best all around short flowering time and yield,quality. this is for an indoor grow using a spectra 500 l.e.d

If its your first grow just take whatever you can get right now and start growing. Youre not gonna nail it your first run anyway.
Id be more worried about dialing in the room before spending much $ on a strain.

not my first but still green enough this is going to be my 3rd Ive grown champagne kush and blackberry kush, neither one was what i expected. and this last grow is some dream star. and some sweet tooth ibl #4. just looking for a larger scale opinions.

Do you have preference for particular type of flavor or high? What would be the longest flowering time acceptable? Lots of great strains out there I can give some suggestions with a little more info.

I think for the grow a indica dominate hybrid height is a bit of a issue right now I can go about 5'5" closet is about 4x4 I pretty much like all flavors and scents except cat piss. Flowering time shorter the better and the best yield and potency possible.

I'd go for ChemD or a chem cross. Great yield, super potent, medium stretch. Sour D is top notch but it stretches a bit more. You could always scrog it though.

i'm tokin on some chemdog right now and it's a good producer and good quality high and taste. It got pretty damn tall, I had to tie the branches over and eventually move them out of the tent into my bedroom and put the led's up to the ceiling as high as possible (no oscillating fan). One plant did 2 oz's, the other larger one did 6 (with different trim jobs, but different pheno's as well, both are in flower again for the second time, just a few weeks and are close to equal).

for the one's i've got in there now i put in flower when they were shorter and keep pinching them back in order for them to keep from getting that tall.


you might want to start with a nice classic, white widow, northern lights, afgan kush. grand daddy purple is a nice tasting and powerful bud. I can vouch for the afgan kush ryder if your looking into auto flowers.


get used to the idea of a 9-10 week flower period.

If you're looking for something awesome, just get any skunky strain you come across. Nirvana seeds have a lot of good seeds for cheap. I wouldn't set a boundary for "short flowering time" i'd cap it at about 9-10 weeks. You have to have the right strain for it to be worth the extra week or two flowering though.

also, you have quite a few things you're trying to get at once, short flower, high quality, and yield. imo if you could pick of these I would go with Quality, and to achieve this you can start growing in organic soil with whatever strain you want. My yield has gone down slightly since I went to organic soil however the quality is much much better. And its EXTREMELY easy for me to water, no mixing and matching different bottles of BS.

I just picks up some cherry pie kush cuttings? Any idea on flowering time and yields? My pop really enjoyed the smoke of it
