Maxi bloom for soil?

Looking to switch over to maxi bloom from fox farm line up. Has anyone had great success with maxi bloom? Looking to use the kiss method. Is maxi bloom all I need all the way through flower or do I need to add different nutes along with it.

The kiss method? This K.I.S.S. method? Did you read that thread already? If not, it is a treasure trove of information, will tell you everything you want to know. Even about using Maxibloom in soil, I promise :D

It's a long thread, but you can search individual threads as well as entire forums:

mb is all you need from rooted clone till harvest but some also add the koolbloom.

just go with mb and then decide next run if you want to add kb.

i use tap so no need for any cal/mag but use it if you have R/O water.

good luck

Thanks for the fast info and reply. Has anyone switched from ff line up to maxi bloom with better results? SSH do you use it every other watering?

i was using GH floranova series when i switched to maxi and at the same time i also started using coco.

i use mb in soil and i feed with every watering every 2-3 days and i noticed it was easier for me with = or better results.

1tsp per 1 gal water from rooted clone to flush and with a prepetual set-up i dont want 3 diff rez's of nutes for diff stages of growth.

Thanks SSH im gonna do a side by side running lemon skunk ffof ffhf worm cast perlite coco coir soil mix. Half with ff full line up. Other half with mb. Is mb like using peter jack's bloom? used it along time back and got good stable results.

not sure about how mb compares to anything other than GH Floranova grow / bloom but im sure you will be happy with mb results.

in the kiss thread there are numerous growers showing how their mb grown bud was equal or better than their regular nutes and there are some who bash mb. i know that thread is way too long but im sure there is someone who has already done the side by side you are doing but first hand lessons are the best lessons.

my guess is you will not see any difference in the plants but you will find out why some change to using mb.

...you might want to consider switching to coco as well, not because MaxiBloom doesn't work in soil because it works just fine, it's just that coco is way easier to work with, similar to soil but just easier to use.

...i started out in soil, then switched to DWC after about a year, then back to soil after about a year with the DWC's and then grew in soil for another 2 years before i upgraded EVERYTHING, lol.

i grow coco-hempy buckets now with MaxiBloom and my grow is better now than it has ever been.

sog, funny thing is i started with dwc then went to ffof soil then mixed my organic soil mix up and now in coco.

i am running my Chemstone in ffof/ffhf ammended with worm castings but im getting ready to mix a batch of organic soil for a few diff 100% Sativas....i dont dare run them in coco b/c im not good enough with pure sativas so soil it is.

Thanks for the info SOG and SSH. Man Im gonna give 2 or 3 plants a go with coco using mb just to compare the two. What brand do you guys use for coco. I use the pressed 5 kilo bail just add water and fluffs right up. I like adding it to my soil mix. Nice loose fluffy soil. Always been a winner for me. What size container are you using SOG. Are you harvesting bigger better quality buds using coco. Freaks me out thinking of changing my grow media when all is doing fine, but there is always room for improvement.

i buy compressed Sunleaves brand 2kg bricks. i hydrate it then put it in a 5gal bucket w/holes in the bottom and flush until i get clear run off. i then use another 5 gal to press out excess h20 then repeat to ensure no salt or high ec of runoff.

with coco you can use a smaller container than in soil and get as big or bigger plants. i use between 1-2 gal containers and for some i use 10 gal totes w/2 or more plants but you will need to water/feed EVERY day at least in coco and up to 4-5 x a day.

EDIT: keep PH ~ 5.8-6.0 in coco but a little ph swing is good. if you use tap then probably no need to add cal/mag but add it if using ro.

Joe I started with Ff nutrient line three part. I was fine in veg my plants looked stellar but towards middle flower I just couldn't dial it in quite right.
I had fan leaves brown, some plants had spots, nothing worked. I always start fresh seeds with different genetics in my garden.
But I switched to Mb and I have went through a whole cycle with outstanding health of my plants. I did notice a drop in weight? But I can't compromise having more weight than a healthy plant that just pumps out the resign!

Good look and to the purist on the boards thanks for the K.I.S.S method.

Same here mobile. I run Lem skunk and ff feeding schedule wants us to add grow big 3rd week in flower. Well last run I only added it one feeding thats it. I noticed 2 weeks later some of the stretchy lem's started to show yellowing fan leaves. Total nitrogen def. So that's why im trying to make it easier with a one step method. Not a 7 part formula. Don't get me wrong Ive had bumper crops with ff. Some of the best bud Ive ever seen and Ive been around. I hate to mess up a good thing but if I can get the same or better results with one step method Im all in.

high bro, here's a few shots of some buds grown in 2liter Coke-bottle hempy buckets that were fed nothing but MaxiBloom throughout thier short lives, lol.

...here i am de-potting after harvest so you can see i really mean it when i say they were grown in little 2liter pots, lol.

...i started out using the Techniflora BC line and it worked well but it was always a pain in the ass to be forced to mix different formulas for different stages of life, ...now all my plants get the same MaxiBloom, ...with the caveat that i feed my seedlings at 1/4 strength until i feel they can handle more.

i have been using maxibloom exclusively for over a year now, my last run i did completely organic, because the nutrients in my fox farm happy frog last the entire 8 week budding period...however i have noticed that the organic version of my bud is no better tasting or smelling than my maxibloom grown buds, and seems to be less dense...needless to say i'm sticking with maxi bloom forever, plus a 15 dollar bag is a ~5 year supply for me!
