BOG Medley 2012

This will be my first grow journal and I'm using the BOG Medley. 20 seeds with three strains; Sour Strawberry Kush, Lifesaver, & Blue moon Rocks. My understanding is that these seeds were put into a big container, mixed up, packaged and sent out.
No individual packaging so now the mystery begins...what is what?

I've not grown out any of BOGS gear until recently as I'm trying my hand at the Sour Bubble, not your common plant with all of it's idiosyncrasies. I guess I like suspense...

I sent in my cash and 10 days later my new project arrives.
If you are familiar with these strains and you see anything familiar please chime in...

Quite a variation of seed sizes
Since this is my first thread I've still got to figure out how to properly post photo

If I was worried about the unknown I wouldn't have ventured in, I'm looking forward to the fun of it all. What I do know is that they are all stand alone exceptional strains according to what I've read about them.
I do believe that any guessing will be educated guessing as all these strains have extensive write ups on them with associated pictures.
I don't care what they are, I'm looking for the keeper mom's. The exceptional pheno's

With consideration I decided to try out the air pots this go-round.
These pots are spendy up front but from what I've seen the principles of these things are quite impressive.
The operative words being "air pruning" The roots do not circulate around the inside of the pots. The roots find there way to the lateral air vents, air pruned, then new roots are stimulated all the way back to the main shoot.
I found out that you've got to pack the inside surface and bottom of these things to get them to work best.

1 step at a time

1 step at a time

So at 48 hrs all the Medley beans had popped except one.
There is a strange one in that it popped two tails out of the bean.

The sprouts were put into the airpots, I only had 13 pots so the other seven went into clear Solo cups, then those placed inside regular colored cups to keep out light . Sorry Toby not using Red Solo Cups, I use clear so I can check the root development.
This way I can compare the difference between the airpots and traditional starter cups

Had to make sure that all the nooks, crannies, valleys and holes were all filled in with these pots. At least that's what they say to get the full benefit of the system.:artist:

Thanks for the pictures Puerto, need the comparison shots.
So in the above picture the seed that separated from its hull within 48hrs was the first to break ground, apparently an aggressive grower.

I've got 19/19 that have come up. I accidentally broke a seed tail with an involuntary muscle twitch while potting.
Also did a pH test on my water, which is well water from a high desert. Turns out to be 8.2 yikes! with the Grow Big it drops it to 6.9. The drain off with the ferts is around 6.2-6.4.
I'm assuming that the alkalinity of the water will make getting my pH to 5.6-6 stable kind of difficult. Can't afford a reverse osmosis unit right away but If I have to...right now I'll be playing with pH down

Must be patient

Must be patient

So I've got 16 out of 19 that have survived this far. Three popped up and then just decided it was to much and wilted away. The rest look pretty normal but distinct differences in leaf size & shape, stalk length.

These are under 6 4 ft T5's and in the window when the sun occasionally.
The plants in back are all Sour Bubble clones. The seedling in middle picture on far right front is the double tail seed.
