Get to laughin then chucko! I know that Obama wants to grant citizenship to all the illegal imigrants! You must have a career that is not affected by them taking your work! Im a craftsman in my trade.. Been doing it for 25 years now! They are a big ass problem to our economy.. My best friend is a mexican and we have been friends for 20 plus years! I think anyone would be better than Obama! If you cant see what illegals are doing to this country than you are a retard!!!!

^it is not the illegals that are the problem. It is the welfare we dish out to them for having endless amounts of children. Also the fact that we dont give them all citizenship is stupid. Makes them citizens get them paying income tax.

If there was logical welfare vs. endless welfare state then there would be no issues with immigration.

you're both right...

"Looks like the "Show Me" state has something to show the other 49 states....This sounds so good I had to read it again.

So how come Missouri has NO ILLEGALS?
Read the answer. Isn't it funny how simple answers are available for just about everything.

Missouri has no illegals; go figure. Missouri's approach to the problem of illegal immigration appears
to be more advanced, sophisticated, strict and effective
than anything to date in Arizona.

Do the loonies in San Francisco or the White House appreciate what Missouri has done? When are our fearless President and
his dynamic Attorney General going to take action to
require Missouri to start accepting illegal immigrants once again? So, why doesn't Missouri receive attention?

Answer: There are no Mexican illegals in Missouri to demonstrate. The "Show Me" state has once again shown us how it should be
done. There needs to be more publicity and exposure
regarding what Missouri has done. So, let's pass this around.

In 2007, Missouri placed on the ballot a proposed constitutional
amendment designating English as the official language of Missouri.
In November, 2008 nearly 90% voted in favor!
Thus, English became the official language for ALL governmental
activity in Missouri . No individual has the right to demand government services in a language OTHER than English.

In 2008, a measure was passed that required the Missouri Highway Patrol and other law enforcement officials to verify the
immigration status of any person arrested, and inform federal authorities if the person is found to be in Missouri illegally. Missouri law enforcement officers receive specific training with respect to enforcement of federal immigration laws.

In Missouri, illegal immigrants do NOT have access to
taxpayers benefits such as food stamps and health care
through Missouri Health NET.

In 2009 a measure was passed that ensures Missouri 's public institutions of higher education do NOT award financial aid to individuals who are illegally in the United States.
In Missouri, all post-secondary institutions of higher education are required to annually certify to the Missouri Dept. of Higher Education that they have NOT knowingly awarded financial aid to
students who are unlawfully present in the United States.

So, while Arizona has made national news for its new law, it is important to remember Missouri has been far more proactive in
addressing this horrific problem - but on a gradual basis.
Missouri has made it clear that illegal immigrants are NOT welcome in the state, and they will certainly NOT receive public benefits (that's social benefits) at the expense of Missouri taxpayers.

Hey bro! Maybe in your state they arent a problem, but in my state they are! It's not just the kid's trhey are popin out my the ton, they are thaking work away from tax paying american citizen's and sending the majority of the money out of the us without paying taxes.. The cash leaves this country never to return! There are millions of them in the country sending money out of our econemy every week thru western union.. We are talking about alot of money that would stimulate our economy , instead of mexico's! If they came here like our fore father's and payed their due's like so many good american men that gave their live's fighting war's,to make this country what it use to be... before bush and obama! I pay taxes and have a licenes and certificates to do my trade! They don't and turn out piss poor quality work! Craftsmanship is a lost art in this country because everyone is tring to just survive! What the fuck happen to quality workmanship??? It makes me sick what they get away with! People use to take pride in their work! I now have to work twice has hard to survive.. The cost of supplies keeps going up and my wages keep going down! We can't afford to carry their weight any longer:tiphat:

Romney Revolt at Liberty University

Keep your Romney, give us Ron Paul !

The John McCain, eh sorry, the Mitt Romney campaign replayed a scene from past failed Republican candidates yesterday. They announced in the morning that Governor Romney would be the commencement speaker at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. The school founded, by Jerry Falwell, is touted as the largest Christian University in the world. And in the afternoon they announced that openly gay, Richard Grenell, would be Romney’s new national security and foreign policy spokesman.

Students at Liberty were in an uproar. Not over Grenell, but over the University choosing Romney instead of their beloved Ron Paul. The firestorm began on the University’s own website, where the thread hit 700 comments in a couple of hours. The discussion was promptly censored and then shut down proving that the University is not very aptly named. But the discussion moved onto Facebook where it continues to spread.

(You can also join the discussion here.) http://www.facebook.com/DougWeadOfficial

Ron Paul has a large support base on campuses in general, all campuses, Christian or otherwise. According to Braedon Wilkerson, Ron Paul district coordinator, he carried the city of Lynchburg by a 51-49% margin and the newly created Liberty University precinct 60-40%. “The campus and the city belong to Ron Paul.”

Maybe not. It turns out that the campus resides on the Carter Glass’ estate. This is the same Senator Glass of the famous Glass-Owen act which established the Federal Reserve. There is even a plaque erected to him on campus, honoring the central bank. Mark DeMoss, who is the evangelical liaison for Mitt Romney, is on the Liberty board of directors.

Meanwhile, the Richard Grenell appointment sparked a fury of emails from prominent Newt Gingrich evangelicals who see the betrayal of their movement as imminent. As a former congressman wrote to me, “once again evangelicals get hind tit (sic).”

Tony Perkins, Gary Bauer and “the Policy boys” of Family Research Council get most of the criticism.

A common suspicion of prominent evangelicals is that they sold the evangelical vote to Senator Rick Santorum in exchange for money to their nonprofit corporations even though Newt Gingrich was the more viable candidate. Indeed, the Iowa FRC leader Bob Vander Platts was reportedly asking Santorum for a million dollars. He eventually supported Santorum. Presumably, a national endorsement would be worth more.

A leader says, “They split the evangelical vote last time by dividing the Huckabee vote with Fred Thompson, giving us McCain as a result. ” And now the charge is that they have divided the vote again, giving Santorum a temporary boost, draining Gingrich, and giving Romney the nomination.

True to the 2008 cycle, Mitt Romney, like John McCain, refused to meet or seek evangelical support early enough. A visit to Liberty now, with the national elections only six months away shows very poor planning. The Romney evangelical meet and greets, which have to be done, should have been done a year ago, when he was planning the elevator for his car garage.

To announce it on the same day as the Richard Grenell announcement is a clumsy attempt to show respect to both the evangelical and gay communities. Instead it shows that the Romney campaign understands neither one.

Meanwhile, the Ron Paul campaign continues to chug along. The congressman raised almost as much money as Romney this quarter. He is the only candidate who beats Obama in the recent Rasmussen poll and his television commercials are on the air in Texas where lovers of liberty will appropriately make their last stand.

Correction: An earlier version of this post stated: ”Ron Paul visited the Liberty University campus in 2008 but he was very poorly treated. He was given a small venue which could not hold the crowd. When he moved outside to speak to the young people who had missed him, the campus police showed up and “escorted” him off campus.”

This was how it was related to me by a RP staffer who must have remembered it wrong. Several people have pointed out that this version is incorrect. That, in fact, he was given a large venue.

Thanks everybody, keep me honest. Here is one of the corrections:

I do have to make a correction to just one piece of this article. I was a State Coordinator for the Ron Paul 2008 campaign and a former Professor at Liberty University. I arranged Ron Paul’s visit to Liberty in 2008. The venue was the Vines Center, which seats c. 10,000. Ron Paul did not have a small venue and did not have to move outside (except to leave). The place was packed, although it was easy to observe that most of those in the audience of 10,000 had been “prepped” to view Ron Paul negatively. Nevertheless it was a polite “coldness”. The “prepping” of the audience beforehand (a couple of days prior I was advised), was the only negative treatment given to Ron Paul during his visit in 2008. I was quite aware that the “leadership” of Liberty University did not support Ron Paul or at least some of his ideas (divided as they were between Huckabee, McCain, and Romney). The only campus police I saw (and remember, I was with Rep. Paul the whole time) were those who escorted us into the Vines Center and then later out. I too am very disappointed to see Liberty University jump on this latest “mainstream Republican” bandwagon. And I am happy to see the tremendous support for Ron Paul today at Liberty University and in Lynchburg, Virginia (where I lived 24 years). I just wanted to correct the “urban legend” regarding his 2008 visit.

Kevin L. XXXXXXX, M.A., J.D.
Former State Coordinator, Ron Paul 2008
Former Chair/Professor of Government, Liberty University (’85-’07)
Professor/Director, Center for Law & Public Policy, Bryan College

Romney is our only chance to get obama out of the white house! I wish ron paul could have become pres. but it isnt going to happen! All votes for anyone other than romney will help obama get re-elected.. Obama will destroy this country! He has done nothing to help our failing economy!

I appreciate your input but Ron Paul or nobody at all. Romney is backed by the exact same people as Obama and to elect him would be trowing away your vote. The fact of the matter is tha the media and the globalists are stealing delegates and votes in every single state from RON PAUL! Do the research and find out the truth. To vote fore Romney to get Obama out is just as pointless as voting for Obama to get Bush out, THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE IF THEY PUT A PUPPET LIKE ROMNEY OR OBAMA IN OFFICE!

The Republican RINO have sold out the masses for masses of corportate money.

RON PAUL IS HONEST AND OUR ONLY CHOICE!

where ya getting that from?

Well he didn't rule out third party for a reason. I am not sure he will but I assume he lef it open for reason. He sees how much more attention he is receiving than in 2008 and he knows it is life or death.

He is exposing the sysytem to anybody willing to look at the facts. He is building a real coalition of people that care about America. If the morons in the GOP do manage to prevent Ron from winning what is rightfully his.

Mitt Romney 2012 Issues include his handling as Governor of the Big Dig Fiasco in Boston’s tunnel project.

A huge campaign issue for him every achieving the GOP nomination, is his record as a businessman who exhibited poor judgment, wasting billions on a tunnel that was faulty and constructed with substandard materials.

As Governor of the state of Mass., Romney headed up the disastrous Big Dig of the tunnel in Boston’s Fort Point Channel. The major capital overruns in the expenditures of this project indicates Mitt Romney’s lack of judgement and his careless misplaced leadership skills as an intelligent businessman.

The tunnel was only 3.5 miles long to reroute the Central Artery Interstate 93 into the tunnel, plus construction of the Ted Williams Tunnel, The Leonard Bridge, and the Rose Kennedy Greenway where the I-93 elevation existed.

The initial projected cost was 2.8 billion to be completed in 1998, but the end result after criminal investigations revealed shoddy materials and four deaths were much, much higher.

The final costs when the Big Dig project was completed in 2008, ten years too late, was 14.6 billion dollars which was five times the initial cost projections. After you calculate the interest on the tab, and make adjustments for inflation, the cost will likely be 22 billion dollars to the taxpayer. The cost will not be paid for until 2038 which is in another 27 years!

On July 10, 2006 a concrete ceiling panel of the tunnel weighing 12 tons fell onto a car killing a passenger and injuring the driver and the tunnel was closed for a year.

Through an investigation it was discovered that the tunnel was never designed to include ceiling panels that were badly constructed with faulty fasteners and Governor Romney was on vacation.

When he returned, he ordered the closure of the tunnel and then had to pay for a 20 million dollar survey of the safety of the tunnel, which was finally inspected from stem to stern. More problems were found with the ceiling fans, the fasteners and the contracted company that built the tunnel.

Thousands of leaks were found, substandard materials, problems with the frozen ground and lighting fixtures just to name a few discoveries. Just about everything in the tunnel had defects, problems and cost overruns plus a very badly executed capital investment project hailed by the overseer Mitt Romney, in the city of Boston the heart of the state.

Romney was implicated with accepting campaign contributions from that contractor, and bears the ultimate responsibility for causing a death. Further, a list of over 2000 maintenance problems over the next year were still an on going problem for Romney.

In May of 2008, another large contractor of the Big Dig McCourt Construction Company, pled guilty to charges of defrauding the government, by over-billing for three years and by lying about what work was done by workers at a higher rate of pay.

McCourt was paid 245 million dollars for their work on the tunnel but that was not enough they also over charged $ 314,494.00 more. Yet another electrical company attempted the same practice and over billed by $80,000.00 that they were not entitled to receive payment.

In June 2008, the Modern Continental Corporation that had earned over 3.2 billion dollars and who were the largest contracting company that built the tunnel filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The company hid shoddy workmanship, and were held criminally responsible for the collapse of the ceiling in the tunnel.

The corporation attempted to protect its assets from further lawsuits which they knew were coming by filing bankruptcy protection. Another example of shoddy business decisions Romney made to work with such a contemptible company.

On August 10, 2011 a report from Engineers in Boston indicates a space under one section of the tunnel has opened and cannot be fixed. The soil during construction was apparently frozen, to keep it from collapsing and now under that soil is an opening.

The repairs to this tunnel has cost taxpayers 15 million dollars in subsequent repairs, millions more due to the shoddy construction. The financial settlement to the family of the person who was killed was 28 million dollars and there were many lawsuits.

A major pipe also had to be replaced costing 1.2 million, plus this new problem which cannot be fixed. it has been 9 years of a financial fiasco for Bostonians who have had to put up with Romney’s mistakes.

So much for the Businessman in the Real Economy. If Mitt Romney mislead taxpayers on the Big Dig safety, he can hardly handle the whole USA economy and it speaks to his great problem of ethics and sound judgment.

While Ron Paul is willing to let the US go to pot finally he's also about dissolving big govt, decimating the welfare system, fema, medicaid.

I see the bottom falling out on the bottom 25% of residents (80% of the being urban & ghetto).

I see the richest pointing their bling blinged ring fingers at senators and governors screaming about the crime in the street which coincidentally started when we decriminalized cannabis. So in the confusion of it all it will be seen and sold by every leo coast to coast as to the increase of crime being linked to decriminalizing weed.......

I'm blazed and on my legal opiates too, hope it all makes sense tomorrow.

Umm. What? While it could happen only a fool would believe it. Besides, the socialist programs cannot just be decimated overnight with no job market. We need to wean off of them as soon as possible though because as the debt piles up, we get further to the point of no return. Elmo describes it wonderfully.

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/keynes-muppets-elmo-explains-national-debt

So much can be cut before welfare and medicaid that will get us on the right track. Getting out of overseas war efforts for one. You are a scared pussy if you think Iran will get a nuke and fire it at us. We have no business being over there and the more we are there, they dislike us that much more. Sadly many Reps and even now Dems actually believe we should police the world with our higher 'morality' so they strongly oppose getting out of these money pits. I read a quote from a Republican yesterday saying just that. HAHAHAHA. Unintended consequences must be hard to decipher with these brain dead dolts.

Getting rid of useless gov't agencies would also help. EPA was good at one time, but now it is used without impunity to lock out and ban anything it wants. Gov't. is basically saying "Fuck you states, we know whats best for you even though you are the ones who've lived there forever. If you don't succumb to my will, kiss that Fed. money goodbye." Its ridiculous and the worse it gets the more laughable it is.

DoE should not be a gov't. program. No Child Left behind should be all the proof you need to abolish that one. Let the states compete for the highest education rates. Throwing gov't. in the mix just says that no one should compete to have the best schools and everyone should reside in mediocrity due to "gaming the system" through lying about test scores just to get funding. What a good service we are giving our children. Its OK by them though, Gov't. doesn't want them smart because smart people are harder to control.

Once everything is government ran and/or regulated, there is no room for change and innovation because newcomers aren't welcome. States need to start saying fuck you to the Federal Gov't.

If RP does run as a third party I will vote for him. He is the only one that stands on his convictions and doesn't sway from them. Sometimes I just sit in bewilderment of how folks cannot see he is the right man for the job right now. But, when I ask people why they wouldn't vot e for him all I ever hear is he is a KOOK. Why do you feel that? No substantial answer except "because he is". No the reason you feel that way is because its what you hear from the media and you can't think for yourself. How does a person get to run as a presidential candidate when they think the trees are the perfect height for Michigan. I can't even figure out what Romney stands for he has waivered on so many issues.

So I say stand up for your convictions and vote for RP if he runs for a third party. Don't listen to the naysayers about voting for RP that it will cause Obama to get reelected. WTF Romney is going to do better? If he doesn't run as a third party maybe I will stay at home and look for property for sale in ANOTHER COUNTRY.

So tell me oh wise one...What will Romney do to save our growing debt? You mean because he supports reigning in the debt in 30 YEARS!!?? Because he wants MORE overseas action than we already have?

Sorry, I cannot, due to my moral judgement, vote for that platform and I just HOPE a majority of other Americans agree with me. Ron may have 'wild' ideas, but they really need to happen.

The problem with illegals should be a state issue and dealt with by the states. Gov't. intervening is just plain dumb. Its only to get the immigrant votes. When I say illegal immigrant, I think we all know what race I am referring to. No benefits for illegals is the correct move.

They have the largest families, at least in my area. Lots of them are moving north now to the midwest. One metal fabrication company I installed our product in has mainly ALL illegals working on the shop floor. Why pay someone minimum wage when you can pay an illegal less? There are many problems (minimum wage is one) and the Gov't. politicians make it worse because they are only concerned where the next votes are coming from.

I look at immigration like a plumbing leak. You can do one of two things. First you can ignore the leak and just mop up the water. Eventually by not fixing the leak alot more damage is going to be done. Or you can fix the leak and minimize the damage and put control of the water back at the spigot where it belongs. We want the water that is not the problem. We just don't want the water to go places that will cause damage to the house.
