Cool idea, but my main concern would be the height restriction.

I specifically asked for a strain that was short and squat at the dispensary - they recommended PK. I'm guessing she might be ~ 3 feet at chopping time.
The plan is to bend her trunk so it extends out the skylight. I considered putting the Smart Pot directly on the roof, but the 3 gal size won't fit through the opening.

Day 9: So far, so good. I've got lots of pistil hairs, and I really like PK's short internodal length. My skylight is a great place to grow - direct sun all day, a reflective paint roof that won't heat up too much, few bugs, and a nice breeze.
If I do another grow, I'll put a couple of ebb and flow buckets up there. Now I'm watering the plants in the morning before I lift them up. It's a hassle, and one watering/day might not suffice when it's really hot in the summer.

Funny thing happened yesterday. There were 4 people (HOA reps, engineers) on the roof doing an inspection. I could hear them walk over to my skylight. So I climbed the ladder and poked my head through the skylight just as they were looking at my girls.
me: "Are you guys going to be up here for a while?"
one of them: "No, we're leaving. Sorry to disturb you."
me: "Not a problem."
purple kush is known for mold outside..
i grew some LVPK, purple kush cut circulated on here...had zero mold issues. i guess the key is taking her before sixty days..we chopped em before the last week of september had lots of frost people loved them..
