I knew one commercial guy who would do a one week flush with water and a bit of molasses only, then he'd cut the crop down at the base and insert the stems into water for a couple of days before he started doing the trimming and such. He played around sometimes and would put stuff in that water like different types of sugar (brown, piloncillo, etc), fruit/berry extracts, molasses, and even some wine on occasion. I can't say that it was really noticeable or anything, but it was always interesting to hear what he'd tried and I always liked his smoke, so maybe is experimentation was worth it. I think it all started out as a way of cutting down to make room for the next crop and get that going and then he could start trimming later without having a bunch of wilted foliage on his hands. He always had very well manicured bud, and I think this intermediate step was a big part in allowing him to do the trim nicely.

Weird, your posts formatting leaves much to be desired.

This thread is pointless to clutter up the vert section.

As far as you discovering or whatever it is, tell me how you plan on quantifying the remaining nutrients left in the plants general cells. Where is the 'bad' stuff located? Cytoplasm? Chloroplast? Xylem? Phloem? Flamentous cytoskeleton? Where?

If you're concerned about nitrates still being in your herb, I suggest water curing your product and measuring the ppm runoff of it each day, I think you'll be surprised... in general.

im not a commercial grower , but i flush for about a week after the plant is finished , give full nutes until the plant is ready then give it 5 to 7 extra days on plain water , i grow in rockwool with gh nutes , i personaly think any more than a week is just over kill , but to each there own

no. most pump nutes till the end. hoping for maximum yield. most dont smoke the crap they send out . so they really dont care. long as it looks good, smells good and has good yield. a few asians i know grow their own stash in soil and wont smoke their own dro.
