I totally understand your position and paranoia , but a 1 month veg might make your plants too big for that small a system ?.......but....

You did say you know your strain so handle it and start a thread......The autocad shit reminds me of Heath , but he always put measurements in ft and in`s cuz us yanks don`t do metric very well...anyways....

Pullin up a bucket ta see whatchas do next....

heaths tree grow with 2 critical mass plants got just over 1 gpw.
his flooded tube 4 level sog with 86 plants got over 2 gpw.

thats the facts jack.

EDIT :

The first pics are of the tree grow using 3x600w this yielded 30.6 Oz from the plant on the left and 43.8 Oz from the plant on the right for a total of 74 Oz.

74.4 oz total / 3 lights = 24.8 oz or 701.84 g per light
1.17 gpw

The harvest was 46 Oz

46 oz = 1288g on a single 600w light
2.15 gpw

The veg times it takes for the plants to get big enough before flip have never been disclosed that I know of , so there`s the X factor Dave......

I hate screens. A single screen with many plants intertwined really sucks, but marlo has a really nice way of seperating each plant to its own screen.

Part of me says go the efficient route, part says the logistics and legalities of large plant numbers is too much.

I have always said that greed killed the cat, not curiosity. People grow a bit, go "wow", and get a bit bigger. Then they get greedy and push too hard and it all ends up in tears.

I do hear and understand what your saying DHF. im just in a bit of a quandry atm. I want to get this one right rather than keeping changing systems every few months like i used to do.

Veg time and strain are the variables that need dialing in IMO.

individual screens for each plant works so good, easy to make with 1/2 pvc and some plastic screen, thats the way i run. 4 big plants per 1000 w . no over crowding and no larf. once you get the first one going your veg plants have time to get where you need them size wise so as long as your using your available flower space i cant see whats wrong with vegging them to where you want them. i ran 8 per 1000 w at first and had problems with larf and over crowding, my 2 cents...

im pretty set at this point on the flooded vert and seeing how far i can push it. I really wanna see if i can score 2gpw and if i can hang with the big boys

plus there are so many started flooded tube vert grows but none finish, they all just stop half way thru. Bugs me.

with 8 plants i got 3 1/2 oz per plant and know it can do twice that with a mono crop. im just hard headed and like varity but realy thinking of doing a mono crop with the grape rom.

tommy2cola made a point about those systems, alot can go wrong but if your stuck on doing it go for it and teach us something..

LMFAO....Fried green maters are 1 of my all time faves JW.....Never had hamburger gravy over em but sounds like a winner....

Flour and cornmeal dusted and deepfried in an iron skillet will make yas slap granny Dave....

I make a Cajun/Jalapeno Remoulade sauce with jumbo lump crabmeat to go over em when I`m gettin fancy , but usually it`s just fried green maters and okra with butterbeans , cornbread from an iron skillet , and country fried steak with milk gravy ftw....anyways....

anyway i think i have my hybrid compromise solution that will revolutionise the world of growing ... or at least keep me happy.

6 inch PVC pipe, 1 level, flooded tube, octogon, 2 plants per section = 16 plants total.
veg for 2 weeks to get a healthy root system and then turn them.
I would imagine they will stretch to maybe 3 foot high, and then they are tall enough to not need a second layer.

my concern is the lack of DO if water isnt waterfalling down levels like a 4 layer flooded tube system. dont really want to start putting air bubblers into the tube, its over complicating it.
