Herb sold in fancy packaging now????

My buddy brought some herb by and was raving about this new herb that is floating around. Apparently it's being sold in small glass jelly jars. Each jar is 7 grams and sports two profesional looking glossy labels; one in the front that denotes the strain name, harvest date, and net wieght (7g), and one on the back that gives a short description of the strain inside. My friend brought some by that was labeled Bubba Kush and it's was indeed legit well grown indoor bubba.

Each 7 gram jar is selling for 150 bucks. If you want a zip then you have to buy 4 jars and that costs 600. Seems like alot for herb but my friend tells me people are buying it lile crazy...says some people are even buying it just to collect the jars.

I've only seen the Bubba personally but my buddy says that there is also jars of SSH, Green Crack, ECSD, and Grass Knuckles around.

Seems like dealers are getting creative with their packaging to sell more herb at higher prices.

Gonna try to get some pics of the jars and buds tonight.

What do you guys think? You guys ever get any uniquely packaged herb?

Sounds like someone stole a dispensary stock. My regular guy shows me weed in bottles, I laugh his ass back to the nice side of town. I don't care for lingerie on my hunny, either. Don't wrap it, I'll eat it here.

at those prices it sounds like a well executed marketing trick. reminds me of that weeds-episode where hey try to sell weed to rich people and discover that if they put a fancy box around it and tell some mythic story about it all the richies want to buy it for way higher prices

This is the first time I've seen packaging like this in my area.

Anyone know what Grass Knuckles is suppose to be?

I remember a number of years ago getting herb regularly from NYC that came in little plastic cubes...I once got something called 'Black Haze' in a cube, I remember fondly.

Personally I much prefer a jar to a baggie; I hated seeing so many trichomes stuck to the side of the baggie, while transporting meds back home to the jars; so we'd bring jars for the dispensary/source to fill...Not to mention that it's better environmentally...I also used to return my baggies to my "dude" for reuse, lol.

So yeah, I'm pro-jar and anti-baggie...
:witch:

PS: I concur, Harbor Sides does have pretty nice little jars.
PS.2/Edit: I also concur that one should not be hiking the prices, for a little jar.

I like jars.

Very difficult to sit on it and crush the living #()*&%# out of your nice crystalline meds.

In the days when I ran a dispensary we sold our meds in glass jars. We however did not charge extra for the glass jar. We got the jars for a buck a piece, so the overhead for the jars was minimal. Do not pay any extra for fancy packaging.

The delivery services in NYC have used plastic cube, medicine bottles, and other clever packaging for years. So this packaging gimmick is not new. But I do prefer jars to plastic bags any day.

what state are these being sold in? if you are finding jars like that in a non med state, someone is buying or stealing them in cali and shipped them your way. 150 is an insane market, even at harborside a quarter oz is 120...which is still expensive as fuck..

if its in california thats nothing new...glass jars are the wave of the future man. i already got my packaging ideas ready in case this shit goes legal..

Grass knuckles is a strain made by somebody else.

Cc versions was just their version. Like if I took oe to ecsd to recreate Casey.

that is funny nattynatty, I can picture you going to your dealers with old ziplocs,
personally I don't like getting an old used ziploc, even if it's for my friends

I feel that a 140-160$ a half oz of really good weed deserves it's very own, clean ziploc so it has a greatter bag appearance

the guy is selling oz for close to 300, he can afford 1$ ziploc bags is my reasonning

but I know from experience it's not cause they can't afford it, it's because they never buy enough

I'm in Texas.

Sure 150 is a lot for a quarter ounce but the thing is, people pay it no problem. Most of what is available is mexi brick so when something pretty comes around people jump on it.

I grow so I don't have much need to buy any of this stuff but I'm thinking of packaging my stuff the same way seeing how well its selling...
