I like to put them in an envelope and stick them in a desk drawer.

The fridge, in the crisper with some silica gel pack dessicant or raw rice to keep it dry so it don't rot. I am still growing peppers from 1999 and they germ just fine, our favorite seeds too I have germinated, some with 95 % germ after 10 years.

to store beans, specifically, marjuana beans, a freezer will make em last 10 or so years at least. ive personally seen 10 year old beans pop, like they were fresh(2months dry) out of the pod.

I put them in a ziplock bag with rice, then in a mason jar with a lil more rice on the bottom, then put the har full of bags of beans in the fridge. oldest Ive popped was 5 years with all of um germing, havent tried any beans older then that(dont think I have any). my jars have went from home to home with me over the years and preserve my lil magic beans fine. just popped some bout a week ago that were close to 3 years old, again 5/5 popped.
