I'm trying to find out some info on these two strains by Next Gen. From some things that I've read both strains were originally from Federation seeds.

ISS is suppose to be more sativa dom, with strong odor, good yield and knock out potency.

Romulan is more indi dom with a knockout stone as well, but haven't heard much of yield and the smell is more piney.

I will be using 400w for veg and 1k for bloom in either dwc buckets or coco. Veg for a month if I have to. I'm currently running a low odor strain so I have to buy a scrubber for these I assume.

Does anyone have any experience with these strains? I would like to know average yield, odor issues, potency, how sensitive they are and so on. Thanks!

PS..Oh yea..honorable mentions are crtical Skunk and Medicine man from Mr nice

Done them both. Regular pack of seeds. I was curious about them as I read the description. Both are good stuff. Quite uniform. They suppose to be ibl due to their long backcrossing. They're both good seeds, exactly what they say in description. Romulan is strong, narcotic, sweet smelling, fast flowering variety, ISS is super smelling, frosty, medium flowering sativa variety. They're not uber potent like sourd, chemdog, SSH, but they're very satisfying. Easy to work with, cannot say any issue. Nice varieties to try.
I crossed some romulan with mako haze and they came out one of the best smelling strain I found.
Any question, you're welcomed

Thank you Dr.P

I'm leaning more toward the ISS. I'm a little worried about the stretch. Can the height be controlled somewhat? I gave about 6ft of space but would like to keep em close to 5 or less. So I will be topping and maybe some lst.

Is the sweet smell in the romulan more piney or fruity and how is the yield on it?

Iss is a bit stretchy, yes, but nothing extreme. You can control it easily. She has very plastic and thin stems, she needs support stacking at the end. She puts out long fluffy colas of big calyxes, extremly resinous. Smell is spicy, minty, skunky and funky all together. If you have height problems I would go with romulan anyway.
From seed it gave a beautiful single cola plant. She switches to flowering very fast and stops growing. In clone form she was a slow grower, fast flower. You can train very easily into a multiple branch that puts out many small nuggets. In smell deprtment I encountered two fruity-acrid-chemical-sweet smelling phenos. Very unique. No piney. Yield is low. Veg it enough to get a better yield.
Hope this helps

Thank you Dr P..the ISS sounds like quite an adventure..I'm def looking forward to it. What type of medium did you use if you don't mind me asking.

I might end up getting the romulan at a later date then. I'm still intrigued by it and might. Get it for personal use.

Im about a month in to flowers. They are filling up nicely and have had no probs whatsoever. I was wondering when she will start to smell though. I am having a bit of a heat issue and have been thinking that it may be the cause? Or do i need to wait a bit. By heat issue i mean high 80's low 90's but i have constant high air flow
