1st organic grow, DJ short BB; Alaskan Haze

This is my 3rd grow, the first 2 were good learning experiences but less than a success.
Now have 8 Alaskan Haze and 2 Dj Short BB. 5 Ga plastic nursery pots and 3 in 5 Ga smart bags. 1k HPS, T5 veg 4wks in 1 ga plastics.
My own soil 'recipe' based upon much research on these boards.
Mushroom compost, organic soil, perlite, Espoma biotone and tomato tone, lime, HF Tomato and vegetable, worm casts, with guanos added. After I had the soil mixed, picked up PSB and Ancient Forest last week.
Having explosive growth, lush, green, foliage and nary a mite. Very happy right now, iwk into 12/12.
Woul like to see a couple oz off each while being organic and hopefully very potent.
Did top them a few weeks ago and have been watering with my own tea consisting of the above mentioned guanos, tones, molasses and AF. Looking to added alfala / kelp/ fish but believe the dry ferts probably have all my bases covered so we shall see.
Thanks to all that share their vast knowledge for us all to reap the rewards of their efforts.
Below, 1st 4 pics are DJ short BB and last 4 are Alaskan Haze. Please feel free to comment as to your thoughts, be cool.

Glad to be here, northstate, and glad you see them looking as good as I do! Should all be some tasty bud, no doubt, especially with proper curing. I am hoping for a reasonably substantial yield and some potent meds.
Thanks and be cool.

looking great. Update???
Ran into a bout with fungus gnats. Utilized the recommended remedies and they are greatly diminished. Of course, spider mites have now reared their ugly heads.
Today starts week 6, the Alaskan haze seem to be going well. The blueberry are rapidly yellowing. Not sure how to address that as of yet. Continuing with teas and have top dressed with HF Tomato and Veg.
In regards to the mites, I have stop the dehumidifier and am considering a pyrethium fogger. I am going to dose with silicon tomorrow. That will now be an element of all future grows. I am now a believer that mites will be an ongoing battle and control and prevention may make them less destructive but a huge pain in the ass. I am considering adding neem to my soil mix in the future hoping that will provide a more systemic protection than trying to completely eradicate mites.
Thanks for checking in and any ideas or thoughts are welcome.
I'll post some pics in a minute

Here's some pics. I hope they are doing OK. Just not enough experience yet. The last 2 are of the Blueberry.
Everybody be cool.

Hopefully I am better at curing than posting pics!

Damn, sorry to hear about the pests. I also like to practice prevention. Like they say, "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure".

I cant ever take good photos. just look in my threads. lol
Nice buds though bro. Looks like there going to be dank. Their looking very sativa.

neem seed meal is a great amendment for your soil, but it helps more with soil pests than with mites.

here's what i do: take my lavender FPE, add a small amount to the water in my pump sprayer, turn my nozzle down so that i get a nice fine mist, and spray every surface of the plant (tops and bottoms of leaves) every two or three days for 10--14 days. that will interrupt their reproductive cycle and kill off the adults in one fell swoop.

in the future, foliar sprays (even plain water works) a few times a week in veg will help keep them from establishing a foothold.

Appreciate it. I am all about prevention from now on. Growing is a craft usually not learned overnight. Proper room prep and vigilence will hopefully prevail.
You've some good shots and very good info in your threads that I'll peruse over the next several days.
Thanks for the kudos. I REALLY hope you're right.
Ditto on that head ringing sativa.

I will look for neem seed meal, thanks. Seems it will be a beneficial addition.
You're so right about spraying during veg. I got cocky while in veg, thinking I was golden. I will be more agressive in prevention and maintenance this time.
FPE sounds interesting, especially lavender. I have been trying to brew teas and I am not sure of their quality, but the girls seem ok. I hope to develop this and eventually attain a more vegan level. I bought some alfalfa cubes to add to my teas and a bit in the soil I am now cooking. Just got 5 SSH and 5 Lemon AK clones, so those will get some attention in a week or so. I will also be scanning your threads for a leg up.
