To ANY old school growers and tokers

so today was the day me and my dad cam upon his old seed stash that is said to be at least 30 years old, but their all mixed... can some old growers and smokers tell me about any extreme distinct characteristics of these exotic land races. accoding to there should be everything from old thai stick to columbian Mexican ect..

That sounds awesome! You might have some wonderful genetics in there... there's no way to tell until it flowers really.. but generally you'll notice that the landraces don't behave like most plants grown indoors (northern lights for example). They're likely to be finicky and stretchy and possibly have small flowers, but who knows. If some of those seeds are hybrids from landraces crossed with pollen from popular commercial strains of that time, then you might have some very vigorous 30 year old seeds :D

ain't no tellin really. best bet is to grow em out and see what comes out. good luck. i only managed to pop so far 1 out of like 50 old school seeds. was a male, made seeds, then lost clone.

do the saucer germing with paper towells on a warm surface, take the shell off before planting with the green head right at the ground level. i've found that soil or soilless is best as then you do not get nute burn. do 10 at a time and veg naturally to sex them, you will discover indica or sativa this way. hope you have some cherrybomb or another almost extinct strain.

cherrybomb is an old sativa not sure from where.

my old seeds: i place them in between 2 sheets of paper towell wet with thrive on a saucer with another upside down covering. put on a warm place like top of fridge and check every few days, add more solution if dry. 1 end will show the white tap root and the other; a small green head. if the shell is stubborn then i use tweezers and needle/pick to remove the shell gently and plant with the green head on the surface of your medium under soft veg light. water the medium so that its moist. and wait.

sounds bad, but i just use my tongue and teeth. much more delicate than my shaky hands and some tweezers. my mouth can apply pressure in such minute amounts that i can feel the seal on the seed separating before it gets to the point where it makes a crack sound from the splitting. my tongue is sensitive enough that i can feel the thickness of the seed shell against the baby seed like the difference between the curb and the street.
