I lost my mind!

About a year ago this month. Girl left me and I became a raging alcoholic.

Completely fell off my game. Let a lot of beautiful plants die. I didn't shut completely down, but ran at around half capacity, entirely ignoring my experimental uber-efficient 600w perpetual vert room, concentrating just enough on my production room to pay bills and buy lots of steak and whiskey.

New plan. Stop failing.

Any tips? Particularly those involving staying motivated? Keeping your eyes on the prize and what not? Any personal experience I and others might learn from?

I think I'm going to start journaling my vert room. Maybe do some controlled experiments. Flex my statistics muscles.

Listen to the song "Broken Hearts are for Assholes" by Frank Zappa. Just kidding. Focus on the things in your life that you can control. Keep your mind in the present. Smoking some sativa is a great suggestion too.

peace must come from within, do not seek it without.

Read any Julian thread on this site, especially his giant outdoor grow in the outdoor forum, i believe it is a sticky.
he is the single most inspiring person on this website, hands down. his writing style, along with his "real-world" applications, make his writing incredible addicting.

Bobby Stainless weighs in with peerless advice.

You have exceeded the acceptable period for mourning by at least 6 months. Now you're just being a crybaby.

Quim also has miraculous restorative as well as destructive powers.

Dose accordingly and you shall be well again.

Like the others have said,do something positive for yourself.Stay occupied with something other than the sauce.Sounds like you're coming around again. :tiphat:

Hang in there brother!

If the drink takes the best of you & your unable to control it, don't fuck with it!!!

I've seen whiskey ruin many of good men!

Keep yourself busy with things in life you enjoy, and surround yourself with those of your friends that will be supportive in your efforts to say sober.

I still enjoy my odd glass or two of scotch every other night, however, I can take or leave it, however, I have dear friends that are in the same boat as you, and drink from the time they come-too in the morning until they pass-out.

Best of Luck!!! You can do it my good man!!!

yes shake the alcohol... travel is also a great way to get motivated.

go to that tropical island you always had your eye on for a couple of weeks, come back refreshed and ready to grow up a storm.

and i promise you friend you wont even remember... er... um... what was her name again?
