progressive is to progress as conservative is to conservation.

That is the thing. real conservative is for conservation. Conservatives made the original national parks.

It is these plutocrat corporatist ass holes that have hijacked the word, and tricked the public into thinking that making where we live so poisonous the water causes cancer, has something to do with liberty.

Not true, never has been and never will be. Conservationism is like Green Peace and The Sierra Club. Conservative is like the Koch brothers hiring private investigators to shame and or intimidate conservationists. Conservationism is setting aside national parks for public use. Conservatism wants to "drill baby, drill."

Doesn't Ron Paul want to open up park lands to private interests?

Bush didn't "declare" war either

He just bombed and bombed

Obama picked up where bush left off

Funny you hear less about it on the news now though...

He sidestepped ground troops in libya by using NATO forces and giving weapons to the rebels

Likely he'll try the same in Syria, sanctions included/already in place..

Just another domino falling as we continue our imperialistic plans.

Koch=republican
Republican does not equal conservative.
Its like those idiots who think gwb or palin are conservative. Expanding federal power is not nor will it ever be conservative.

exactly.

Disco biscuit if you think the current G.O.P. is actually conservative then you do not understand the meaning of the philosophy.

I used to not understand it. Then one day it clicked in my head. I also realized the two major parties were just corporate owned plutocrats that dont give a fuck about the people

Sure he did. Ron Paul voted to go after the Taliban. Congress authorized the use of force to eliminate Sadam and WMDs.

He just bombed and bombed
You live a limited information existance.

Obama picked up where bush left off
Duh? The world didn't stop to let us off the Bush Legacy. Obama carried out Maliki's exit order and resisted the protests from folks like McCain, Graham and career Pentagon brass wanting to stay.

We're taking steps to get out of Afghanistan but Obama never campaigned on leaving terrorists alone. He campaigned on going after terrorists and that's exactly what he's doing. That said, Obama is resisting the convention invade and raid tactics that Bush and Cheney insisted the war on terror deserves.

You'd probably love to see Obama declare preemptive war on a nation that didn't threaten us - that way you're argument that Bush and Obama are no different would stick. Obama is utilizing the same tactics we used to go after terrorists before 9/11, not after.

Funny you hear less about it on the news now though...
Funny we haven't declared any new wars.

He sidestepped ground troops in libya by using NATO forces and giving weapons to the rebels
Yeah, I sure miss the mother fucker who downed a 747 over Scotland and started killing all his people for protesting their living conditions. What a guy.

Likely he'll try the same in Syria, sanctions included/already in place..

Last time I checked, Syria has little to exploit. What exactly are we supposed to imperialize in Syria?

Fine, imagine we're at war with Syria.

Like I "imagined" all the dead libyans...

Keep imagining O aint a monger...
While the brown bodies pile up at least we never declared war on them.
Starve 'em with sanctions and bomb the shit out of 'em but hey it aint war.
Maybe the mothers of dead sons and daughters or the father watching his children starve can take solace in the fact "obama has not declared war"

You want to cover congressional oversight of NATO? You might be looking for a while.

Don't you remember Republicans bitching that that European contingent if NATO was running the show? That means other nations decided to act. Do you expect the US to tell others how to manage humanitarian crises as we see fit?

Your reflection of world events is pureed in a blender. If Captain Ron was faced with dealing with threats, he'd deal with threats. And I only offer that caveat because you've defended declarations that he's no isolationist. My personal take is Ron Paul never learned any of the lessons we learned from Isolationism 1.0.
