Abja Roots has Plenty!

So I just got a Plenty the other day. It's a new vaporizer from Storz & Bickel. Not sure how many others have one, but I figured we could post up and share our experiences thus far.

I got to try one a month or two ago, and liked it. I've only had mine for a day, so I'm still getting used to it. So far I've noticed that it takes a few pulls before it gets going. Once it does, you'll get a nice thick hit. Thicker imo than from the Volcano. I like that it cools down, when you are not using it. If you click the handle it takes about a minute to get to temp, assuming it's been on. I also like that I can take a hit and walk away. It's not as loud as my Volcano, since it has no pump. I think I'm going to get another one for work.

Lagunitas...a man after my heart and liver. Got a 6er of their imperial red and sumpin wild in the fridge.

And I can't wait to see how that thing works. How do you dial it or set the pressure? I'm sure like the volcano it just takes some trial and error. Also does it have the extra screen like the volcano does for extracts? Anyways I love new gadgets and this being made by Storz & Bickel has got my mangina moist.

Thanks for sharing.

There is a disk with a set of numbers on it. The higher you set it, the higher the temperature will rise when you click the handle( or so I gathered). It's very much like the temperature knob on the original volcano, except that it won't maintain that temperature indefinitely. It will cool down to about 100 degrees F when you have not used it. I'm still figuring out where I like it and how it works exactly. I suppose I could read the instructions! It does have an extra pad for extracts. I have a feeling this will work great with some BHO. Will give it a try later today.

I'm sure some of you guys will get a chance to check it out soon.

@ Stoner4Life - I'm pretty lucky! :)

I like it. I gave my volcano away cause I was kinda over it, went to my friends house yesterday and they were using it, herb tasted sooo bomb it made me want to get a new one. Ill have to go check this out in person.

If you like IPA try Russian River Brewery's Pliney the Elder/Younger. I had some Youngers the other day and boy did they kick my ass, might be out of stock now though. I heard they use co2 extracted hop oils to make the pliney.

I don't think I have ever run into an Abja fan.

I went up a week or two ago to drink the younger. That was a serious night! Walked out of there feeling great. I usually drink the Pliny the Elders. A friend turned me onto them. It's my usual beer of choice, but at $5.00 a piece I don't drink them all the time. They have a lot of really great beer up there, and the food is not bad as well. My buddy buys Pliny by the case. He's obsessed. I always take a few when I go to visit friends elsewhere who appreciate beer.

Abja puts on a great show. Love Mahogany Road and Inna Red I Hour. No one that I meet has any idea what it is!

Interesting!
I sold my volcano to a good friend for like $225. I miss that thing.
Nice choice in breweries. I got a bottle of cappucino stout in the fridge. Went out to eat with my buddy the other nite and the bartender recced the pliny, he liked it. I haven't tried it yet. Now i have to look into the plenty!

Niice, stateside! I know its German engineering but you're at least smoking the American Kush or the OPAL K's outta that tool right?
I'm looking forward to your thoughts and obsevations on this thing once you have it dialed in. Its small enough to fit in a shoulder bag, kinda like you're own personal chihuaha!:)

I love Pliny the Elder.

Opal K's all day. The machine might be German, but the fuel is all American landrace Kushes!

This was the first year I got to try the younger. The bar was packed and we had to wait 30-40 minutes just to get in. I liked it. Would have to try some more of it to see how it stands next to the elder. Real hoppy beer, but smooth!

Patriot Kush!!

Thanks for starting this thread Abja ! Nice black volcano !

After 1 month of intense use, I am sold ! I love my plenty :)

It was my key to stop smoking most of the time and it is succeeding.
I have pretty much stopped tobacco for hash and vape only the herbs.

here are my conclusion on this one :
I have owned a volcano, I own a iolite and plenty, and have tried on several occasions the verdamper, the herbalaire.

Here are the big advantages of the beast :

- Cooler vape when in high temperatures, as cool as water cooled I would bet. I can take bigger hits than I can remind with verdamper without irritating my lungs and coughing.

- Direct hit allow you more control on the density of the vape compare to a volcano where it will be constant in a bag.
It is strong enough to be used by a couple of persons at the same time, and will probably gets you high as quickly as the volcano.

-As strong made as the volcano I could bet. All the material seem very strong, I am actually impressed by the quality. Same smallish problem as the volcano if i remember well the small little rubber thing under it tend to get loose and you can loose it. carry the same warranty.

-heat up quickly (1 min 30), can stay in idle mode and ready to toke in a minute or so.

It is a surbooster -surcooled Iolite, but not cordless yet.

The disadvantages of this plenty would be

-Need electricity, but has a long enough power cord.
-The metal parts tend to get hot so you gotta be careful not touch them. Could be problematic for some medical users.
-expensive, but worth it.
(could be little intense for people unused to vaping but I just gotta hit the 185C mini each time so not so sure)
-I guess for people who likes the iolite without thinking it tends to be slow, the vape could appears quite more dense and rip them off to quickly.

If you want to vape plenty, you will like it.

Nice thread, thx for posting it up AR. What's the price on those? and do I need to sell my firstborn to get one (like the volcano lol)?

Vaping is great, but after a while it all tastes the same and I get the burn to burn.
