I'm picturing plants vegging at 18/6 that have matured for too long and have pistils everywhere... hell I get that sometimes with 24/0 Light.
Then you just never culled the male and let him do his thing?
did you then flower the plants and find seeds? or did you just keep vegging for a month or so and harvest seeds whilst vegging....

Yes to finding seeds after flowering always at the very base of the nug (where the flowers showing in vege were), and yes to harvesting seeds in vege a month later!
Some of my mother plants are over a year old my grafted mum is going on 2, (I do the bonsai mum thing to keep em small
The male I was hanging on to so I could collect pollen and get a new generation of seeds, He kept opening sacks in the vege area, so I had to remove him, his work is now done and he's composting.
