Breaking News: Dutch Cabinet plans strict coffeeshop policy!

This is unfortunate. I have been through Holland many times and have fond memories of puffing the finest hash on the shores of de Noordzee while munching on chocolate chip buns and some of the freshest fruit I've ever eaten.

Not all hash will be banned, only above 15% THC, but that will be active after 1-1-2013, so in the mean while a lot of things can happen.Last evening there was a very good documentary on Dutch television about the big lie of the police about the 80% export of Dutch cannabis to other countries.Another documentary De Achterdeur The backdoor showed there was an agreement 1998 between 250 growers and the Dutch IRS untill the minister of Finance shut it down and most of those growers were busted thanks to the IRS.

Well, yet another Dutch government has fallen--fingers crossed the next lot have a rethink, I'm not going to be holding my breath though.
Assholes, I understand that residents are pissed off with drunken puking badly behaved tourists-so why not bring in a zero tolerance policy for drunken puking bad behaviour. Ban the tracksuit and bulldog tatto crew if they behave like morons

Good point! And tourists will pay much more and have to deal with Junkies trying to sell them smack, coke, speed, ecstasy, etc.

Instead of a few tourists getting dehydrated and passing out, they're going to find tourists dead in the streets.

I'm sure that'll be a big improvement for Dutch tourism!

And the Russian mafia will have to move it's headquarters to Amsterdam to cash in on all this gravy coming their way.

They kicked out the Hell's Angels didn't they? Now they'll get something worse in their midst.

Ah yes, can you hear the sounds of tourist cash leaving Amsterdam? I have said this before but it bears repeating, if Amsterdam doesn't want the money I am sure that another country will pick up the slack.

My only hope now is, is that the Southern Provinces turn into Mexico! Bring that war on!!
I really hope crime skyrockets, with as many victims as possible. As soon as the innocent children start to die because of avoidable drugrelated incidents, the sooner they might stop this.

Belgians fear consequences of new Dutch weed pass

The Belgian authorities fear that the new Dutch 'weed pass' law will lead to an increase in marijuana cultivation in their country. The law prohibits the sale of soft drugs to foreign tourists, and coffeeshops are only allowed to sell marijuana and hashish to Dutch residents if they have a special pass.

The law went into effect today, but it only applies to the south of the Netherlands. It will go into effect in all coffeeshops across the Netherlands in January 1, 2013.

Belgian police believe the new law will lead to the cultivation of marijuana to meet human-grown demand and from foreigners travelling through Belgium. Belgian police today stepped up controls along the Dutch-Belgian border.

It is not up to the public attorney to refuse, but it is the duty of the police to registrate the indictment of the discrimination.Since the mayor is also the head of the police, the indictment can go to the national ombudsmen.:D

The can also go to the European court, since we are EU and Schengen, its an international situation.
But I reckon the judge will be in the pocket of parliament as per usual.
