Dance of the MBS: *Time-lapsed* Growth, new Aussie Med. strain

I've time-lapsed some footage of 7 hours of growth, from early last week, and sent it off to a friend to put on their youtube for me as I don't maintain my own 'tube.

I started it just for my own amusement, to see how much she moved after I noticed that every time I flipped the plant around, she rapidly spun back towards the light within just a few hours (sunflowers, eat your hearts out! ).

But then, I thought it may interest a few folks on the forums, so I figured that I'd share.

This lady is almost my height now, after just over two weeks from being transplanted from a tiny 3oz bathroom cup.. I love the MBS, so far!

Check out how she's touching the top of the screen by the end of the vid...

(On the off chance clicking 'I agree' doesn't work, I've left the youtube link below.)

Thanks for stopping in, hope it was interesting/amusing for a few of you!

I'll probably be back with some photos, and more time-lapsed footage of the full room, in a few days.. :)

PS - Thanks so much to Wally and Moonunit (and Clarence!) for the opportunity to play around with, and test out, one of their newest creations. So far it's been a GREAT plant, with a lovely growth pattern!

You're all too welcome

And thank you for commenting, and looking!

Here's another, although I didn't like this one quite as much as the first.. I pulled her out from under the lights, and off to the side with some 'discard plants' (males, late-transplants etc.), so I could try to focus on her alone, against a white background.
But it was just too dim and blurry for my liking, and she moves a bit better when she's actually got some light above her.

Still, it's not an entirely horrible clip, though. :)

And for fun, another video project that I had Talia upload to the youtube account, earlier today. :)

since that plant was moved the auxins cause alot more bending towards the light as they have to relocate around the plants cells,,

I think the ones not moving are because they're close to the reflective wall, it takes energy (energy that could be used for growth) for a plant to follow the sunlight, but instead if the light reflected is substantial enough for growth it will conserve the energy by not moving and just absorb what's being reflected close by.
