People have shown interest in the progress of the Apollo-11 seed making journey.

I figured I'd make a thread so we could chat about it, and keep it updated.


Here is a example of the female that will be pollinated (Genius pheno) day 1 flower. Famous zig-zag alternating nodes.

I'm glued & waiting for full juicy details man so spill the beans cause we want the whole story on what you got and where you got it and hence-forth. In deep space on the Apollo 11 mission we are going to need plenty of light to brighten any darkness you may encounter in these far reaching expanses of the Canna-universe.

Basically my older friend knew I was a herb lover, and her boyfriend has a 12+ year old Apollo-11

He was gifted this clone 12 years ago or so, and his gifter got the seeds from Amsterdam in the late 90s. Since then, the gifter has passed away. So for the sake of him, and Apollo-11 we must continue the legacy!!!!

Time to germinate some Apollo-11 seeds immediately, and find a keeper male to pollinate this beauty with!!

How is the seed popping for males going?

Seeds are popping

Now in a 1 liter which is 33oz instead of 12oz party cup. Momma could get pretty big in half of one of these if you do bonsai, and trim roots so it doesn't go root bound of course

Also good to have multiple mommas, definitely good to have back-up lol ... In 3" inch wide 1 liter bottles, it saves a lot of space compared to 4" square pots, and 1-5 gallon pots! Also with multiple giant mommas it basically requires you to go H.I.Ds instead of Fluoros for fast growth.

Anybody? What do you think about the speed of growth considering thats only day 20. Turning purple already too. Try to spot the purple calyxes in the 2nd picture.

What do you predict final weight to be on these plants that are 10-12" tall.
