Can't upload photos.

I can't upload any photos. Anybody know what the issue is? I keep getting this message.

/data/web/icmag/icmag.com/www/gallery/uploads/9599: Error creating directory (check permissions).

are you trying to upload them to your old gallery or new gallery ??
uploading to the old gallery is turned off for now, if its your new gallery it may be that you have used up your
allocated upload limit

I haven't been able to upload pics in 2 days, I have cleared my cookies and deleted old pics to no avail. Im using the album system in my user cp.

I keep getting this error message

If I remember correctly, the old gallery was only kept around because it couldn't be merged with the albums when the forum was upgraded years ago. It was left so that everyone didn't have to re-upload their photos into albums and also photos uploaded to it before the upgrade wouldn't disappear from threads

i like the albums myself, it's a lot easier to find the pictures you want imho. although i would like for an option for more albums per page, maybe we can make that album image smaller or something? increase the number per page displayed? old gallery was too clunky and cluttery to me. i still have issues with my old pics. they aren't in any order, the dates i uploaded em are all out of whack, etc. mess. but the new albums i love.

What limit did you reach? You certainly don't have enough images to reach that limit... Perhaps the size limit is the problem?

How big are the pics in mb that you are trying to upload? Did you edit them first?

pics are 2.5 to 3.5 mb. yes i edited them. i always put my pics through color adjustment or zoom in on some. but this is stuff i always do and never had problems. so only thing is that the pics were taken with an iphone. but i dont see how this could be a problem?!

Those sizes should not be a problem, but over 4 mb would be. I have heard of probs with iphones before, but it sounds like you're uploading them from your computer and not a phone app, yes?

the biggest pic i tried to upload is 3.7mb but even the 2.5mb on its own doesnt work. yes, im uploading from my computer after transferring from iphone. (do iphones take pics in jpg or sth else? maybe there is an encoding mistake along the way? ...)

tried to upload pictures with encoding format that worked perfectly before. same error ...
so i think its safe to say that the mistake is not in the pics ...
