Can fan max 6"

I run my 8"can fan on a 100 and I have a 150 hooked up to a fantech FKD. The can runs about 200 cfm less than the fantech but it also runs at about a 1/3 less wattage. With the fantechs i have to run a muffler because they just scream, the can fan i don't have a muffler hooked up and seems to be manageable without it.

Good luck, Peace

Can 33 would be fine to run with the max can 6 w/ speed control. Can usually has a lower listed cfm rating but if you were to compare to another brand for instance valuline 6 " 435 cfm it would be close if not the same cfm rating. Ive used both with a can 33 filter and both seemed on par with each other.

I have had a Can MAX 6" for about two weeks now, replacing a Stanley blower fan that was modded.

My previous setup maintained at 80* - the Stanley pulled from a 6" T inside my 4x4' tent. Top part of the T went to my scrubber, other end went through 6" cool tube (3' long, dual socket - only running one 600w hps).

All I did was swap out the stanley for the can max, and on low I was hitting mid 80's - obviously wasn't pulling as much air as the Stanley on low. Even medium gave me grief, still like 82*. I had no idea how the hell this was happening but it was too loud on setting #2 so I didn't bother with 3. The noise was high pitched and very annoying even zipped inside my tent and upstairs in my loft.

I took the box the can 6" max came in and stuffed the bottom, sides, and tops with tshirts, then taped it up. I had cut two holes in the sides of the box and connected my ducting. I purchased insulated 6" duct after reading that it helped a lot.

I got some cheap DIY supplies for a muffler and used the insulation from some extra 6" insulated duct as..well..the sound insulation.

Scrapped the cool tube, running bare bulb - no scrubber now (~1wk flowering venting outside, I'll get a new scrubber this round in a week or so). Temp is at like 78* on Speed #2!. Very excited to see these #s.

I will get a scrubber that supports a little over 200CFM and call it a day. If it only scrubs at 75% efficiency cause of running air through it too fast - whatever, the entire city smells like herb hah. Good fan, and maybe I'll bump it up to speed 3 when summer rolls round'

I love this fan.

Used it to replace my 6" CAP Valuline and it moves almost the same amount of air, except uses half the electricity and makes half the noise.

Holy Hell! Got the fan and filter in today and that can50 is freaking huge. Do you guys think this fan is big enough for this filter. The fan is 334cfm, the filter says minimum 210 cfm and max 420 cfm so I don't know. I'm kinda of in the middle, so what do you all think? Is anyone running this exact fan with this exact filter can chime in? I just don't want to kill my cooling to much. Idk.

Just ordered one of these can fan max 6 's . I like the fact that the speed control is built in. Hoping it is quiet and powerful. The energy savings are also attractive. I use a 265 cfm hydrofarm blower right now and the can fan max should be much quieter and power consumption should be considerably less.

Question for the peeps that have had the Valuline 6 inch and The Can Fan 6 inch: Is the difference between the two very noticeable? The lower wattage of the can fan is making me reconsider

Ok guys, my final review of this fan.... It's a beast, it's. It's very powerful and has no problem cooling my 400 hps and pulling through a can 50. It's a little louder than my old fantech(which was running for nearly 5 years straight) but not by much. I just used some insulation around the fan to knock the noise down. I also like the speed controller but keep it on speed 3 which is the highest setting. Let me know how it works out for you guys.

Well I just installed my Canfan max 6 in place of my previous 265 CFM activeair blower. It is cooling my closet with a dimmable 400 lumatek set at 250watts. Very happy with this fan. It takes only a couple of minutes to cool off my closet so it takes only a fraction of the energy to run. Quiet. I can run it on low and it is much quieter than the blower. I have mine hanging from the ceiling with a bungie cord. I connected it with flexible metal ducting and duct taped it all up. The noise level can really vary depending on your particular setup. I am running without a carbon filter ATM and it was a bit noisy at first but after a few alterations to my setup it quieted down to a level that still amazes me. Now all canfan needs to do is make a canfan max 4! The cabinet growers need a fantastic small fan and this would really fit the bill.
