my first puff of the day!!! and its 7 pm my time......

and i smoke all day everyday! so this was not by choice....

this morning i woke up to my basement bathroom flooded, with shity smelly water....

keep in mind my hole basement is dedicated to growing... so calling a plumber is no option for me...

so i run to ace, grab a shop vac. suck it up....

then i find the drain under my washer is backing up, and i have toilet paper and shit trying to come out like old faithfull!!!

so i do what any smart guy does, call the septic company ..

luckily i was able to get a guy out in about 2 hours. and luckily all there work is done outside, so they didnt have to come in!!! :)

but for the 2 hours i waited, i was using the shop vac to get the flood in control, dumping a 9 gallon tank every 5 -10 mins !!!!!!!

luckily nothing bad happend in the end!!!! no damage done, no plants where shown to unwanted vistors...

just alot of cleaning, and stress! thank god its all over :)

im getting suppppppppppa blazzzzed now :joint: :joint: :joint:

sorry for this "shity" story!
but i gotta tell someone

herbophile-the cause was toliet paper cloging the main drain pipe out in the septic, its like a 6 inch pvc pipe, that was CLOGGGGGGGED with the most disgusting toilet paper wall ever! haha

yea man ive been there before.....had a piep back up and flood my bathroom which i used for mixing nutes and had a little test cab in there. ended up calling a plumber, moving all the plants ans grow shit to another room..and playing it offf like i was a landlord who was renting to "some idiots who were trying to grow, but i evicted them" story....

stressful nights indeed..the dark side of cannabis cultivation..

Dude,

First of all, major respect to you.

Shit happens...gotta take care of it.

When we take on these projects, we take on the responsibility for all the shit that can happen.

I'm on a septic system too. Every 3 yrs or so I approach a septic pumper whose doin some neighbors house and offer him cash under the table to stop by my house after he's done. In my area, it runs $300 - $400 after all the fees.

$100 cash and a 12pk, works every time.

Gots ta take care of the septic. Lesson learned.

Iffn yer all done and cleaned up, you've earned yerself a pat on the back and a relaxing smokeout.

Peace,

I'm on a city system but I have a lift station for my lower levels that i watch like a hawk after my buddy had a problem. His lift valve got stock and backed everything up and caused a big mess.

yuck!!! sounds like a real shity situation !!!!

nothing bong rips cant handle tho :)

least after the mess is cleaned

all gravity-fed onsite septic, tank gets pumped annually.I can't imagine TP was the sole cause.Lack of maintenance is the cause of 75% of septic failures.

I'm all for taking on the responsibilities of isolateing certain areas of my place, but we need to stay on top of our game to possibly avoid shit like this.

Glad it didn't end worse.

Also, you had what's known in the industry as a black water event.Sounds like a lot of it as well.May want to look into a full on mold/bacteria agent.
