Fertilizer costs money. Guess if they have money from primo hash (and if they actually receive the money themselves without it all going to middle and end men), then it may be worth it.
Only commercial fertilizer costs money. There are many free fertilizers out there. Cow shit for one...

interesting thought. I know that they seal up the latrine pits after their full and after some time they open them up and take out the shit to use as fertilizer

In robert clarke's book hashish he goes over indigenous hash making processes from all over the world.

in morocco he said the common traditional method was to sieve with a chiffon scarf stretched over a large bowl.

Yeah, thats the one I ordered, 2nd edition. I can't wait to receive it. I love hash and everything about hash, and am dumb struck as to why their isn't more of the stuff in my part of the US.

Good idea reading Clarke's Hashish, for a good background in the subject.

Dry sieve requires the least amount effort and equipment, especially in an area where the quality of the water is suspect and there is no refrigeration.

An ethanol stip would also be easy, but requires more equipment and controlled processing to produce quality alcohol.

Hey spin;

before teaching, one gotta learn !

it s a noble goal so props for that !

Still I am unsure that you could bring them any more money, from what I have seen over the world, usually it seemed to me way more profitable to sell herb. Except of course the top quality to top importers...

But hey, go learn in the emerald triangle and bring them the knowledge. Hash take times and efforts to make, that you will see and understand that it s not just done like that.

by the way the return of your weed in hash would be around 30-50g a kilo I would guess, considering what you are discribing. and I am talking about only females, few leaves, and of course the weight of the plant with no more seeds. The seeds weight doesn't bring you any resin.
I am talking about dry sieve of course.

Lets make the assumption that it takes 100 kilos of low grade cannabis to make 1 kilo of high grade (whatever that means) hash. If 100 kilos costs at the very most $200, and 1 kilo of hash can be sold for $500, than you are more than doubling what the farmers can achieve.

SpinLover you better read , a lot, and please stop stating wrong information like the one above. That is just plain stupid.
Even a unskilled farm worker receives 8euros per day, plus three meals, bed and smoke.
Farm owners can sell their prime stuff for 4000€ per Kg, depending on the costumers ;)
You need to learn how to walk before you can run and please try not to make a fool out of yourself.

Hash of course...sorry if it got that one mixed up.
There´s no prime weed on the area that i speak about and weed as very low commercial value.
The usual return of the dried sieve process is around 1% being 2% considered an exceptional year/crop/harvest. I find these numbers painstaking :( and will try to improve them when the time comes ;)

Yeah so it must have been a complete fantasy that I used to by my weed for 1.5 cents in rural W. Africa! Hey, you obviously have no clue what your talking about man. So, dont go around accusing people of what you yourself is, ignorant. 3 meals and 8 euros, you have no fucking clue what W. Africa is like. Try 2 meals and 1 euro!

These are the prices I used to get my "ganja" for. 1.5 cents for about a gram in one town regularly. 20 cents for about an ounce in the regional capital, twice. 30 cents for about a qp or whole plant in a different part of the country. 10-20 cents for a gram in the capital. Note: I lived in Africa for about 4 years...Do the math

I'm not talking about Morocco Im speaking about rural W. Africa. You were rude to me first, for the record. And you seem to be the one lacking the information. 4000 euros a kilo?! Guess your getting ripped off

go out and get yourself a copy of RCC's Hashish! It's a great primer for the various traditional cultivation and production methods.

some places just use silk scarfs and the like scretched over a bowl. Metal screens if rust proof may be a good choice.
I feel silk screens with a mesh or micron count of anywhere around 73-100 or so would be ideal for your applications, you can also get a bubble bag and run it dry, the dry sieve method is ideal for your application unless you can get dry ice then that’s the method to use, you can also do as the Nepalese do, if the plants are living, make finger hash! Hope this helps!
