Question about google earth

the pic of my pad has another truck parked out front. i dont own a white truck and my ride has occupied the space for a longass time. when i leave i park my other ride from my driveway to that spot to save it. so my pic is prob 3 years old or more. i wish they would let ya know when they are scanning ya so i could flip the bird or moon em

Its rarely a threat to a grower in real time , but vast amounts of data are cheap to store for years now unlike tapes which were quickly wiped unseen unless there was a reason to check.

Had the misfortune to walk through Coventry city centre before xmas , a soul destroying concrete toilet made infinately more oppressive by the large number of overt cameras and , no doubt , a load of hidden ones too.

If I'm not mistaken the UK is the has the most cameras lol,, do they not??? lol.. HOLY SHIT .. I think we have this many in Canada /USA too we just don't see them.. If they can read your newspaper from space then Big brother is truly watch YOU!!! headband 707

Current American reconnaissance satellites reportedly have mirrors far larger than the 44-inch (112-centimeter) mirror carried by the KH-7, but do not have the same resolving power as the KH-8. The reason is that current American spy satellites stay in orbit for years and in order to do this they must operate in higher orbits so as not to be dragged down by the tenuous upper atmosphere. The KH-8 was a disposable satellite and it achieved its high resolution by descending to a low perigee over its targets, but then had to be reboosted so that it did not reenter the atmosphere.

The cold war spy sats had the highest definition ever , film still better than digital for visible spectrum.
Modern spy sats trade image quality for live update from a higher orbit , film took 2 days to retrieve and process but the pic had more detail.

Google ect cannot use sat images better than 1.2metre resolution under US law , there are no restictions on images collected from aircraft , some cities are mapped to 20 mm resolution.

^^^^^^ wow! 20 mm is insane resolution! what are they mapping? every bottle cap in the gutter? ......... the whole planet could be like walking into a casino in vegas face recognition cams and all. ...... SHIVER!

sometimes art imitates life,

example would be the 2 films; End of Days, and Minority report.

While both are a bit out there in some aspects, its quiet interesting to see some of the technology for human recognition integrated into the plot of the films. Those parts of the movies seem to be not science fiction but a preview of things to come in regards to a sort of "police state" ideology running our society

The higher the detail the greater the potential sales market for the processed images , and the software works more accurately at high res.

One example , a mailing list of greenhouse owners in a whole city could be produced by software in moments from a high def image and sold at huge profit.

Labour intensive plant and enviromental surveys can often be replaced , and it saves basic surveying in many building and property markets.

A night image with thermal would reveal every un insulated roof , another marketable list , or a nightmare.

Unfortunately , at the highest level you could tell sativa from indica , but it wont be a sat image or live.


And to get any useable image from a sat you need absolutely clear skies , any cloud cover , rain , mist , fog , dust and smog or heathaze degrade image quality to worthless.

Could take centuries to map Wales from space .....

They get updated randomly, a rural area I know had the same pic for years, them got updated last summer. A couple plants or a cleared out patch would definitely be noticeable.

The drones that will be flying in the next couple months are a bigger concern.

How many do they have now that they are not telling us about? I bet New York City is mapped out in crazy detail on a live camera feed via drone/drones.

My street view of my house on google maps is really recent. My wife drove into our garage door and dented the crap out of it last summer. In this picture I can see the dents but not the plants I planted at the end of summer. So I am guessing this picture is only 4-6 months old. The sat view is a couple years old, but you can see my outdoor plants spacing clearly.
