I'm really glad to be here, this is a great community....

A bit about myself: I have been growing with Pro-Mix in 5 Gal containers Indoors for about 7 years on and off and now I'm taking the plunge into Hydro, well Aero actually, so I'm here to soak in the knowledge and spread some too... i am interested in NFT/AERO systems like the Gh AeroFlo2 which i'm trying to learn how to dial in still. My last run was disastrous. Unfortunately, Cut's that i brought in from an outside source had mites, plus Gnats that were somehow hidden around my space from previous runs came out and then i finally pulled the curtain on the show and threw them out after a "Yellow Bacterial looking slime" hit em with the finishing move!! :whiteflag:

These are the average conditions of my disaster as described above:

Gear

GH AeroFLo2 36 under a Cooltube with an Ushio 1k lamp powered by a Lumatek Digital ballast. Mountain Air filter with 400cfm inline exhaust and 400cfm inline going into the space.

Environment

Temps Day: 78F, Night: 64F. Avg RH 44%, PH 5.5 - 6.2. PPM first week:500 - 850 PPM second week, Water Temp: avg. 72F

Reservoir Inputs

Gh MaxiGrow once a week. and 29% h202 every 3 days at 1.9mL per Liter.. using Distilled Water from onsite distiller that's in good shape.

Strain

Unknown Skunk variety . Half Indica, half Sativa looking..

Towards the end i stopped adding h202 when the Yellow Slime (haven't found out what it's really called, maybe i will with your help folks!) took over because i ran out and gave up!!!

thnx for reading, any help is appreciated! :ying: :ying: :ying:

I've recovered enough times now, it's building confidence.

That's usually a bad sign....... Toss in lazy, and disaster is near. - On the bright side, failure can be a hella teacher.

There's heaps of knowlege here and usually summtin entertaining. In one way or another.

Your tap water will be your key to smoother hydro. Florida didn't exactly have anything resembleing "Pure Rockymountain spring water" so you will need to adjust accordingly.

Definitely feels safe now but, i still have the fear in me from the last disaster!!

Still have to do some cloning from a Nuken Mother, before the AeroFlo2 gets rocking again....but growland security is on orange alert for terrorist pests that await me.... :shooty:

I have tossed the alert system in favor of Sun Tzu. On deadly ground kill every damn thing crawlin.

be on the watch for the Powdery mildew et al.. Nothin like a two pronged attack on your room, the borg an mildew... good luck Brudda

i hate those damn mites, I hope you don't see them again.. It seems the only way to completely get rid of them in rooms with big plant counts is to just scrap everything..
