i used to buy 40s of these when they were .99 cents and i was broke as shit. now if i drink beer its usually high percentage micro brews ((being from san diego we get so many local breweries who specialize in high% craft beer)). but my drinkof choice is gentleman jack ++ diet ginger ale w/ lime wedge
try ten fidy 10.5 percent made in colorado longmont great beer

Jeez, yea. Back in Highschool me and my buddies would go buy a bunch of these from the only liquor store who sold to us underage.
Spent many times along the river drinking that and smoking shit weed... 10 bucks and you could toss 5 on a sack and keep the rest to buy yourself 2 40's of 211.

only drank this crap back in high school...used to love the cheap 40s. 211, Olde English 800, St. Ides.....but the local favorites out here were the Mickeys, mickeys over everything else all day every day...
brings back good memories though! being underage and having an ice cold 40 oz was a good feeling....always a good adventure with a 40 in hand. maybe drink in the park, drink on the buses and tag shit, seen alot of 40s get smashed over peoples heads lol...
one night me and some friends got a bunch of 211 40s and some cheap snowboards from walmart...we found a nice steep grassy hill near a golf course, and proceeded to get drunk and ride down the hill....right as the cops pulled up my friend starts his run, wipes out, and comes crashing down the hill right in front of the cop....they were so dumbfounded and kinda laughing so they made us pour out the rest of our beers and bounce....good ol days.

Back in the day they had Carlsberg Elephant beers bottled in various colored lables IIRC were alcohol content related. The way to go if you were flush and wanted to appear 'tres continental' and had the remarkable ability to very quickly transform you into a charming, witty and handsome object of desire if you could get a few of them into your intended target of affection.
It conversely had the power to turn your friends (never yourself, of course) into instant drunken assholes who delighted in coming up with schemes to get you all arrested and tossed in jail.
Damn fine stuff.

In the 70s we had Country Club and Schlitz malt liquor. Few drank it. Today, prisoners pour it in a cup, let it rot and sling it on prison guards.
