Hey faint, i've grow in sub's SS recipe and i had great result. Let it sit at least a month and don't put young plants in it. Other than that u should be fine. Some run it with plain water, i'd like to had some boost and flower bloom from time to time. I had it sitting inside covered by a tarp. Hope that help... peace ;)

He is right, if you would have just looked about 15 threads ago you would have found your answers.

With that said, I would not put a lid on your soil and leave it. You need to let it breath. The point of letting it "cook" is giving the soil time to activate the microbes, and begin to break down the organic materials, making it available to your plants. If you don't want bugs, then don't let it get too wet, as this will attract fungus gnats. Also, keep it inside. Good luck brother.

Yea maybe i should have looked before i posted , I will look before i post next time, It sometimes is difficult to find answers even if its posted already ,but i did a search and found it after the fact of my post. so withthat said My apollogies to everyone..

Now lets say i make this mix let it sit for the time its needs for microbes and nute break down, I might put it inside cellar , will this soil stink up the house ? my other option would to put it in a metal shed but it might be way to hot in there during the spring and summer months

I don't think it would stink up the house, and it wont stink up the house permanently for sure. If it starts to stink too much then just put it in your shed. You don't want the temps to be too high if you use the shed, but would still work if the cellar doesn't pan out.

i used subcools soil mix for a outdoor crop. used 10 gal grow bags. 12 plants. yeilded 5lbs. huge plants ranging from 7 to 13 ft tall. lost some to bud mold. New england humidity & rain like seattle. Anyways i supplemented once a week with fox farm big bloom & molasses. im not the best grower but this outdoor was better than some indoor ive seen. i put that on the soil not me. I have seen a friend get great results indoors w/ subs mix. hes no pro either.

Yeah Subcool's soil is excellent!!! Top Notch!!! I believe it is better to let it sit and "cool" for several months as Subcool advises, it gives the microbiological fungi and bacteria time to come to life . . . but some growers have had good results using it immediately.
Best of Luck!!!

does anyone know how many 5 gal buckets the subcool batch will fill... I guessing it wil be about $150-200 bucks to make this super soil batch,it would be nice to know how many 5 gal buckets it would fill.. Then i would know how many grows i would get out of it and how much per bucket it would cost .. from all that i have read about this subject since i posted this thread that it is so worth making this soil .

Thanks
