lol i was wondering the same thing too, i click user menu then the second option like usual and now im looking at my albums like wtf, where is the link to see the threads i was talking in.
but i saw the my posts button.
Yes, the "My Posts" link on the main menu now give you a list of threads you participated in, so you don't need to click twice. I find that to be the most often used search.
This is not to be confused with the "My Posts" link in the user menu which only brings up individual posts, not threads. Sorry if this confuses anyone, but calling the new link "my threads" would be a misnomer. I'm not sure how to distinguish between the two. The queries are the same except one brings up posts, the other threads.
Also I deleted the Event Calendar link since it wasn't being kept up to date anymore.
Have you ever considered replacing the "New Posts" button with a "Today's Posts" button? It has the same functionality as the New Posts, but is more complete- showing all the posts made that day. The posts made since your last visit are still easily distinguished as they are bolded, and there is a separator between the new and old posts of the day.
It is way better than New Posts.
I made a bookmark in my browser that does this for me:
nah i prefer to see my posts and if i want to see today's posts i just click more in that menu on the left listing the most recent posts that i haven't talked in.
No, I didn't mean to replace the My Posts button over on the left, I meant the New Posts button over to the right of the Search button.
When I want to see new stuff in threads I participated in, I use the new My Posts button that does the same as the old My Active Threads option.
When I just want to see what has gone on recently over the whole site, I use my Today's Posts bookmark, I could use the New Posts button by the Search button, but I like Today's Posts better for the reasons I mentioned above.
I think the people that use the New Posts feature would like Today's Posts better.
EDIT: Oh I see what you are talking about with the "more" option on that new posts box on the left when I'm on my profile. I guess it does about the same thing as I'm talking about, but I only see that on my profile page so it isn't as handy.
