How many examples of fights do you want me to come up with saying the same things about decisions across history?

Diaz' face told the story afterwards. It was a mess from all the counter strikes and kicks. Nick fought a dumb fight. When he saw that he wasn't going to catch him in a stand up war, he should have taken the fight to the ground, but he didn't do it until desperation set in as he knew he needed a submission at that point. He waited too long, and took too many shots to his face. He did no damage to Condit.
And he showed he has no class after the fight with his cry baby antics.

He fought like a journeyman plodder , no lateral movement , no angles etc.etc.etc. complete abandonment of certain *basics*.

When you're fighting for a belt , even an interim belt you go TAKE it , Diaz didn't , simple as that.

And if he DOES fight GSP and fights the same way he's gonna get beat like a bag. GSP is likely chuckling with glee along about now , things couldn't have worked out better for him. However GSP better not take Condit lightly , Diaz did. Condit IS a Greg Jackson fighter.

They both look equally beat up to me. Some guys cut and/or bruise more easily than others depending on things such as scar tissue buildup or genetics . I don't think that's indicative of winning or losing a fight.

There was a fighter named Muhammad Ali. He was often called a "runner" by his opponents who wanted him to stand still so they could hit him. Why would an intelligent fighter fight the way his opponent wants? Stick and move. "Float like a butterfly, & sting like a bee". Ali would always circle away from his opponents power and he would dance around the ring. Sports Illustrated named him the best athlete in 50 years, so he must have been doing something right. Condit's team obviously had a game plan. They stuck to it for 5 rounds and won the decision.
There is no crying in MMA.

FP? Who said anything about the punch stats? You made a comment about Diaz' face telling the story. I disagree about that aspect. Problem? I don't give a shit who won or not but that was a boring fight largely due to Condit and Greg Jackson.

Sorry Krunch , we disagree , I've watched Nick and Nate Diaz from the very early days and always liked them , but you can't make any excuses for Nick Diaz's behavior postfight in this one.

And if he lets Condit inside his head to take him out of his game plan then he's certainly likely to be unable to handle GSP.

The whole retire/unretire loop is for the birds anyway , either retire or don't but quit using it as a sour grapes ploy.
