I know its a lil late, but I went to The Bob Marley Festival (coincides with B-day) in Long Beach. I never seen sooo many doobies goin around in public. I mean the whole arena was hot boxed. One of the very few times I passed up on a blunt. Damn cant wait till next year. Jah Love!

Happy birthday Bob.
It's amazing that he died decades ago, yet is still wildly popular all over the world!
There's not another artist that can match that universal popularity.
I had the opportunity to meet, toke with, and jam with Bob, and it was one of the greatest thrills of my life.
As some of you know, Bob used to have his whole family on stage, including two wives and all their kids. They would all sing background, and one night, Bob asked me if I wanted to sing in the chorus.
Pretty much a no brainer! So I was actually on stage singing in front of 20,000, after having toked up backstage with Bob. It was epic, and I have to say he was one of the most endearing personalities I've met. He just had an aura about him and it was a big thrill for me. I will never forget that night!
He knew his herb for sure. But he would not pass his spliff to you. That was his!
He smoked huge spliffs, almost continuously. The "Road Kill Skunk" was one of his favorites.
He compared it to the best Lamb's Bread.
He passed on only two years later.
