ya it would seem to me that this company is has great customer service when you want to try their product, but horrible customer service when you have questions about said product...

what ever, no harm lost, im almost through my nutes, got like 3 res fulls left then i will be changing base nutes, i still got lots of H&G additives so im good on those...

i just wish they could see im a paying customer and by keeping these customers is how you keep a good buisness, i almost feel like these nute companies care more about treating the hydro stores good that treating the customers good....but thats just my opinion, who knows what really goes on behind closed doors

I don't know why. Depending on how you speak to them. I mean if your writing them something like " hey assholes wtf is the deal why aren't I getting a response when I keep emailing you and I get nothing back". I wouldn't respond either. Not to say that's what you did. But they also could be busy. Have you tried emailing rob or Allan in the US department or sticky Canada. Or Dutch. Because they are different To me the Us people are great. My thing is that why would they respond so quickly to give away free samples instead of responding to people who buy there stuff and need help. Wouldn't make sense right. Just try posting on the website in the FAQ they are quick response when you do that. I've posted and gotten an answer the next day

no all my messages to them were very respectful and all i asked is what are the feed rates for soil because their chart seems to be wrong, and why they recomend to feed every watering and the other companies say to feed every 2nd or 3rd watering and all at the same recomended rates

the only person who responded tome was when i emailed rob@H&G to his personal email adress that i got from a post on icmag....but that was not helpful and was clear he was just a sales rep reading pamphlets...the usa, uk and canadian sites have not responded, and they got the same email as rob@H&G....

Have you maybe tried posting in the FAQ in the specific place and a specific question. They usually do respond in a timely fashion. Try hitting the Us page

it was about soil feeding strength and frequency, but i have figured it out, they are wrong by saying to feed every watering, since ive been feed water feed, things have been looking good, theres just 2 things that piss me off bout the situation...

#1 the bad advice they tell you for feeding, would be better if they had actual knowledgeable ppl there for tech support

#2 the lack of customer service....

no actual problem with the nutes them selves

i guess to me its kind of like buying an electronic ballast and a hortilux bulb at the same store, you ask the guy if they are compatible and he is like "sure they are both 1000w" ...then your bulb blows and you try and contact the guy he doesnt answer...

YAAAAAYYYY....finally gota response from the UK guys...much more knowledgeable than the usa guys, no offence, just the facts

Hi John,

You’ve been given some confusing advice by the sounds of it.

H&G food is less salty than some of our competitors but like anything salt can build up in some cases. The “special formulation” that you’ve been told about doesn’t exist as far as I know.

The feeding schedules we designed for the UK market give a desired EC for each week of your grow, meaning that you can adjust the schedule to suit your water. An EC of over 4 is way higher than I’d ever feel comfortable personally and I’m not surprised you’ve had a build up of salts.

Are you getting sufficient run-off from each pot? How big are the pots? How much and how often are you feeding? I can give you more specific advice depending on the answers to these questions.

Many thanks

Paul

H&G uk

this "special formulation" that he is refferingtois what rob@H&G told me when i asked why is it possible to feed every watering at such high EC....obviously rob dont know what he is doing, lol

ive since fixed the problems, but iwas just happy to see they got ppl there who do care...funny though canada is my country and still no response, lol

You got a good point and a good example at that. I also stOpped feeding everytime and just use water in between with good results. I'm using coco though sOil is different and I would DEf not feed every watering. I'm glad though you got it worked out

I've been using H&G coco a&b now for almost 2 yrs and I still feed every watering with no problems and good results as well. I also feed with no run off or just a tiny bit if it does....

First grow, using coco coir in 3 gal pots under a 400w T5, been vegging for almost a week now and have been using my roommates nutes to feed. However, today I purchased HG coco A&B and some calmag, along with the drip clean. Is there anything else that I may need for the girls, or should that get me going basically?!?

I mean. Pretty forward really. * What you picked up is great for what your doing for sure. * *You could def get by with that right there. * You could always add (don't have to). Bloom booster shit. *Depending on strain Also could make a difference on what u need extra of or less. *I think ur perfect like that for now* If you got any questions feel free to ask away no matter what

Thank you sir. I will definitely be picking your brain throughout this process, starting with;

The space I have is very tall and not too large at the base. What would be the best method for getting the girls as vertical as possible?

Praying to the Marijuana Gods, all goes well
