A four-year-old U.S. boy who announced to his teacher at school snack time that he wanted to share pulled nine bags of marijuana out of his jacket pocket, police said on Wednesday.

Police in Meriden, Connecticut were called to Hanover Elementary School Tuesday afternoon after the young special needs student displayed the drugs, authorities said.

Meriden police said the nine individually wrapped bags of marijuana appeared prepared for sale.

Hanover Elementary School principal Miguel Cardona called it an “extremely unfortunate” and “isolated” incident that was not witnessed by any other students.

“What’s so disheartening is this is really an adult issue and problem and adult behavior put a student at risk,” Meriden schools superintendent Mark Benigni told Reuters.

“This student had no idea what he brought to school or what the substance was,” he added.

Authorities are not releasing the names of the student or parents and police said there is a possibility for arrests pending the outcome of the investigation.

The Department of Children and Families is also looking into the incident.
What a sweetie - most kids his age are waay too selfish to share...

See!!!

Feel good story...

I think we can all learn something from this special little guy - it's (sniff) just so (sniff) heartwarming...

All he wanted to do was share - life lesson learned here, that's for sure...

Those parents certainly never learned to talk to their kids about drugs!!!!

In all seriousness, the kid is described as a "Special Needs" child,... Mom and Dad should have known much better than to expose the kid to drugs in the first place!

If the parents were slinging baggy's in front of the kid, he thought they were just sharing with other grownups,.... and the other grownups were happy right!? So why shouldn't the kid take some to school and "share" it with the grownups at school who aren't always so happy.

big bird orders you to hand over all those little baggies with green stuff inside. place them in the basket as you enter school.

Poor little fella! They are sure gonna 'teach' him Somethin now!

Our local school's menu: mexy swag,sherm(tea-insence),herion,X,and lots of scripts.
Very little dank even tho we are notorious local growers.
Guess our 'drug policy' works better than DARE.

I'm sure when he gets older he's definitely going to be laughing about this one. He really wanted to share the herb with the class lol!

All jokes aside this paints our community as being irresponsible and incapable of keeping adult toys out of the hands of children. This makes us all look bad at a time when we are trying to get society to believe that we are responsible enough to manage our intake of this amazing plant on such a scale as to make its continued prohibition no longer public policy that is in the interest of the public.

We can do better than this, people...
