One of the things my friend does is build a table for the trays to sit on. He puts it on caster wheels. This enables him to do what sir smoke a lot said, and keep his lights closer together. When he needs to get in between to work on them, he just slides them apart. I'm sure you'll make a lot of changes to your design as time goes on. I've found that the only people who don't are those who mimic another persons design, medium, genetics, and nutrient regiment. In essence cloning another persons complete system. Assuming it was successful in the same climate, and in general.

All the plants which say they were grown in soil, in my albums, were grown with just add water mix. I added nothing but plain water and some bokashi tea during flower. It's my preferred method for seed runs. Once I make my choice, I grow in Coco. I also use it when I have to run a whole batch of random clones for testing. Now I just want to set it up so that it automatically waters every 3 days, to runoff, during flower.

You can probably manage a room this size, even if there are some inconveniences. One of the things I always recommend is to make sure you have easy access to water, and drainage. Drains in the floor would be the best! Once you tear out the carpet, I would consider using rubber pond liner. It's really fantastic.

Best of luck!

Jeeze, I wish I had the ability to put together a mix that would carry them all the way through. The starter mix is what I use for the first month to six weeks, until they go into their final pots. This being my first time indoor, I'm trying different bag soils, mixed with promix and worm castings and lime. If you know of a tried and true mix, feel free to post up some links.
I got a organic soil mix thats water only all the way threw pm me if you want it :tiphat:

Howdy IC mag. Sorry I haven't had much time to update lately, I've been so busy finishing up the veg room, taking cuttings, and transplanting. I now have taken cuttings of nearly every plant I have in the flowering room and have flipped the lights to 12/12. These are the first clones I have ever taken, so I'm a bit nervous they won't come out right:plant grow:

I've been flowering room installing some wall mount fans and light proofing the veg room from the flowering room. Things are progressing well. I actually have a bunch of pics to post, but only time for just a few right now.

The LSD are bushing out nicely, and now the STs are beginning to catch up. The entire room smells like vomit and feta and armpits and pineapple;) Also there are some very interesting smells coming from the veg room where I have assorted CH9 freebies vegging, along with some Chemdog X Menage au trois, which are some of the nicest seedlings I have seen in a long time. Still need to get over to the Chemdog X Menage thread and post up some pics of those. I wish I had time to post them all up--maybe tomorrow. Here is a peek for now:

pretty nice room. Vaulted ceilings? i bet a bare bulb vertical would be a good idea down the road.. Could do 6ft + trees in there. Heat should be easy to control with higher ceilings. One thing i would do asap in this room is pull up the carpet or lay down a nice pond liner. Bugs, pests, molds could easily hide within the carpet.

Mornin' everyone. These are some really good suggestions you all are posting up. I appreciate them very much and will continue to give them all fair consideration. I'm sick to death of building shit, however, and for that reason am not planning on any modifications at any time in the very near future:jump: I'm on vacation, haha!

Everything seems to be going pretty well. Lights are now flipped to twelve/twelve, clones have been taken of almost everything in flower and seem to be doing okay thus far. These are the first clones I have ever taken in my life, and I'm a little nervous to screw it up.

How long does the humidity dome have to stay on the prop tray that houses my clones? When do I start introducing fresh air?

I can't wait for that carpet to be out and buds to appear. Very clean setup.

Heres a few shots of what's happening in the bloom room.

Reddy1's gear is funking up the veg room and the stink is permeating the neighborhood:) If ya'll haven't tried these freebies, I would highly recommend trying.

Practice run is winding down, and I'm now ready to start some of my more anticipated genetics, including an S1 of my the smoke I liked best while in Amsterdam: Casey Jones, originally by Grateful Head of Head Seeds, but reworked by Connoisseur Genetics. This shit is sublime. Nothing out of the ordinary in terms of flavor or aroma--just an old school, earthy, skunky, mossy taste, which is what I love, but the stone is unique. The hit goes straight to the dome and freezes your brain and makes you think you'll be locked to your sofa for the evening, but instead a strong desire to socialize comes upon you. I walked out of the Gray Area in Amsterdam, ready to chat up anyone who passed by. I swear i had a four-beer-buzz off a bowl, but I was stoned as could be at the same time. This shit was great! I hope like hell the S1s will present something even half as good as what I smoke there.

Here are a few pics of my other stuff. The veg room is filling!!!!:

also, they make thin plastic sticky rolls of carpet runners for remoldling work, i think they are 3 feet wide or so, you can get them at lowes or any store like that....they are the shit! so easy, and they stick very well, don't move, or make noise, and they work esp. well on burbur! also, i have a tried and true "full-run" mix in my sig thread, check it out, good luck bro, i will be watching. nugs
