Prop, either this is 53 pages of BS along with all the other forums or this guy has no clue.

Cherry Kush x Durban poison x OG Kush??? Is that even a strain? It sounds like he is describing Cherry Pie's lineage but confused. I'd say based on the smell of my cherry pie and everything else about it, i def. see componants of every single parent used in that cross (GDP X Durban X Tahoe OG Kush). Based on the pictures i've seen of the GSC, it def. looks a lot like a backcrossed cherry pie to me, especially to the OG. Maybe this guy is just trying to market his own shit.

He is saying GS Cookies is:
f1 durban x OG ? ....where the hell would cherry pie come to play?....NO WAY can anyone say they arn't related...thats too obvious in alot of what i have seen posted.

Haha whats up big twinn...im going to take some more pics soon and post them up. I like how this guy is claiming to have real cookie seeds and that only his are legit. When in fact even an s1 will not give you an exact replacement for the original cut. Anyone who grows an s1 or just about any seedline knows you can pop 10 beans and get 10 different plants. Which is what irratates me about breeders who make a cross and keep the original name of the cut. Now anyone who grows a pack of larry og seeds from cali connection thinks they have the larry cut when in fact it may not even be close! This is just an example. All crosses imo should have a unique name...even an s1. Because eventually there will be 500 different girl scout cookie cuttings floating around that may or may not be anything like the original. Frustrating...

yea its pretty confusing/frustrating...

from what i was told..its f1durban x GDP x tahoe OG which made cherry pie, backcrossed to an OG kush from the sunset district which they called platinum OG or sunset OG..but most likely a tahoe or SFV...

also i heard the guy was not from the sunset district but a different part of san francisco....the sunset OG/platinum OG is all over the city it was my go to smoke back in the day, only one time i grew out my SFV did she come out similar, real poddy but dense...my circle nicknamed it "evander holyfield" because it knocked you out...havnet seen stuff like that around since like 2007 when cookies was just coming out..

fortune cookies is not a seperate strain its just shitty cookies grown by asian commercial growers and picked early....or its a less vigourous cut of the same plant...

cherry kush is NOT cherry pie, its a totally different plant...made up of cherry AK47 i think not sure..

I was always impressed with the Platinum OG. It might not have the name of the SFV or Tahoe, but it was quality nonetheless.

Ahhh the drama....been a while since a strain was discussed/hyped/hated on this much on IC. I remember when cali cats was litteraly making death threats and shit over the OG thing here at IC. I understand that its a money game, but these things are just straight up funny.
Cookies both sound and looks like some premium pot thats for sure...aint no denying that...but for some of these ppl to make themselves look like complete asshats trying to be in the know and whatnot is just ridiculous.
Prop and a few others seem to know what the deal is....everyone else rest assured that the cookies will be available at some point. In bean form, cut or finished product...just stay patient....we already seen the kushes, chems, hazes and all that become available worldwide after the hypebeast rolls on to other cashcows...and it rolls fast mind you.

Here are two of my GSC s1 beens, let me know what you think phenotypically! One of them looks more indica while the other looks somewhat mutated/deformed with slight leaf clawing.

Does anybody have an opinion about the different phenotypes being seen on this thread? It seems there are some with a more slender, skinny, sativa-dominant leaf, and another with more indica-dominant, fat bladed leaves. An opinion on which is rendering the real deal? Is it that the several pehno's are all producing a similar finished product, in spite of different growth patterns? I of course realize the different variables that can come into play in the final product, but does anybody have an informed opinion as to whether both these pheno's hold the genetic potential for good, purple-patched Cookies as have been seen at the SF clubs??

The picture you quoted above came from my garden. Keep in mind, these were grown from seed that were picked out from an Elbow of Cookies. There is a possibility that these seeds are either S1 or backcrossed/pollinated by an OG (sexing them will tell), so i hope that helps explain the phenotypic variation you most notably see above. Also, often you will see clones that differ slightly phenotypically. A great example would be the Cherry pie some have with normal leaves and the cherry pie I and others have, that which has mutated leaves. Assuming they both came from the same mother, the variation can be attributed to mutations from the mitotic division, during cell replication within the growing clone. Environment, stress, UV!, etc. all can attribute to mutations occurring in the DNA during Mitosis.

funny i shared some G i r l s c o u t Cookies with a guy who i thought was a family friend who ended up being a big jerk and now i feel like i made a mistake, this stuff is vsop and private reserve for me and my girl and my real gooood freinds, not some whack ass white wannabe black dudes lol
