TPS is taking a back seat but will drop in on the odd visit so i will open up this years thread .
Last year i concentrated on seeding a few plants to keep a couple of good strains going but hopefully this year will have a bit more green in the jar .
All are welcome as knowledge is always well appreciated . Keep it green & keep it safe . :thank you:

lets hope some of the old growers come back and spice things up a bit

There some gooduns out there & some of us have really seen a few especially from the golden days of OG coz that were a few year ago .

Welcome darkhorse , you`ll find many growers on here that have some good experience so any help or advice you need you`ll find it . After several years there are a few strains been tried tested & bred so we have most of what we need to get something out of it .

Stay safe all .

Hello Folks!

I am also devoted to outdoor gardening. My climate shouldn't differ that much from yours (UK). I hate waiting for the new season to come, so... I've already decided to prepare a spot for spring. This has been done lately:

"Who's fucking around during winter, has nothing to smoke in the summer"

I had to dig out quite a big hole...my back still hurts (luckily I've got some good indica buds to easy my pain;))

...and the end result. The white substance that you see is not snow, but dolomite.

I wish you all the best for the incoming season!

Stay safe!

right lads its on, im going out to find myself a spot and it looks like your kind of area im dealing with Simon Templar, so spade fork good hardy seeds and a good soil mix.
any sugestions on the seeds for my climate cold and wet!
also a good soil mix?
i will need to get out right now for a scout but there are plenty places mostly bog land.

could you give me some seed sugestions that are on seedbay or boutique the now please?
that are hardy and mold resistant.

only used soil once with bad results so stuck to coco/hydro.

forgot to say cheers for the welcome MJBadger.

yay not long to wait now.. I'm gonna be sticking to auto's this year after having to cut my regs last season. I plan on sowing 4 seeds a month from march to september for a kinda perpetual outdoor grow with seeds I made from two dwarf autos from sgs last season... I will also be working the rest of the pack of auto mix from sgs to see what might be worth including in new crosses for 2013. Good luck all.

I was going to suggest you do a search for HFH but it looks like they are not on here any more . Anyone know whats happened ?

A lot of seed breeders/companies will say outdoor but there method of testing is`nt usually any good & you find the finish times a lot later than said , thats why we have lots of members growing under their own conditions to find tolerant plants .

Do some searches under Scotland & Danish strains coz if they finish there they`ll do UK just great . I bet every grower on the uk thread has 1 plant or more that they have managed to harvest . We all know how unpredictable our weather can be with monsoon summers etc . If you can go through some of the uk thread from last year & look around late summer in the thread to find some plants that were flowering & what came to finish .
I tried one year to get a list of the strains that finished in the uk along with flowering finish time & resistance to bud-rot mould etc but it did`nt come to a lot coz too much flannel was posted with the info .
Some autos do ok as long as the flowering period is fairly dry but experience has taught us that any wet weather & your harvesting a lot of bud-rot .
Thredra & Thyphoon will deffo finish here if you can locate the seed .

If your in bog you should`nt have any problem with watering but is it peat based ? coz that is usually more acid & will need some ammendment & a bit of liming . There used to be a real good grower called Greenz on OG that grew in swampland in the US & he used to grow in bottomless buckets/pots placed on the soil surface so the plants never got too wet & the roots went down to the water level . Let nature work for you .
First off find a spot you think may suit then ask any Q`s as to the best way of using it .

Bed beckons , stay safe .

any autos with lowryder in them seem to be a prone to rot... gg3 and gg2 have some decent mold resistant phenos and mighty mite makes good crosses, id work with those bases. A good ruderalis? ive seen some sweet looking plants from mongolia and eastern europe.

the gg2 nug pic i posted above (post #3) was mold free and good potency... some gg2 are prone to mold, theres alot of variation from the gg2 i tested. I kept the 2 most mold restant phenos with good potency. i will cross gg2 to a cheesey pheno lebcheese lady :) to improve the taste a notch

Thredra & Thyphoon will deffo finish here if you can locate the seed .

Do you have more info about the Thredra? I'm familiar with the Typhoon but I have never heard of this Thredra strain before.
