Wife and I are both patients. She suggested I grow for us. Loves it. Says she really thinks tending to the garden gives me a lot of peace. I agree. I primarily grow so that we can ensure that our medicine is free of mold and pesticide. Also it saves money.
We are indeed riding in the same boat my friendMy wife is a non-smoker who does not mind me growing or smoking around her. She does not like the smell though. She likes her vodka and equates it to being roughly the same as me liking to smoke a joint.
At some point she would really like her walk in closet back though LOOL

Thankfully, my girl absolutely loves the smell of plants in flower...not so much interested in dried/cured specimens or the smell of smoke in the air (she actually said my entire house smelled like a catholic church the other day when I was burning a couple hazey joints, which made me chuckle, as that is the way I always describe it as well), but loves to smell the plants while they're blooming. Her story is that she grew up around it (her uncle grows pot and has for decades) and she respects the fact that 75+% of what I yield goes to people who truly need it at no cost to them, even though she doesn't personally understand the medicinal benefits as she does not smoke. She doesn't want anything to do with the process whatsoever...doesn't even really care to see the plants or handle them, but like I said, sometimes she asks me to cut off the scrubber so she can smell it as she goes to sleep. pretty cool girl, for sure...I might just keep her
Its nice to not only provide for yourself, but to know exactly what your smoking.
Boy, that's about right. I'm at my most peaceful when I'm tending to my girls, whether it's a little single bulb hobby grow or a bedroom banger. Something about it just puts me into Zen mode.

My answer was to GROW MORE WEED.
I've been waiting for this. I'm the wife who smokes, all day long. I am also more the green thumb than my non-smoking husband, but he not only is the one responsible for convincing me to try growing cannabis in the first place, he recently shaved his long locks of 15+ years just so we can fight our county board of supervisors' total ban on outdoor growing. He built my grow room, has built all my outdoor raised beds, hauls compost and all the other heavy stuff for me, helps me every harvest. Does everything except toke. And he needs serious gardening help most of the time. Fortunately, my 'set it and forget it' organic methods work pretty well. Just add water.
Ya see, if it were more that situation here I wouldn't get so upset when 1/2 of my harvest vanishes just day's after it gets jarred up to cure!
My wife doesn't even help trim, and after she nearly killed everything in flower by "Helping" with the watering, I've forbidden her from doing ANYTHING in the grow room, even smoking! (non tobacco house, the grow is the only filtered room indoors. now she has to go outside for a smoke)
Good luck fighting the outdoor ban, here in CO it's very grey. They say "Out of public view" but a buddy got busted when the cops looked OVER his 6' privacy fence searching for a suspect, (only charged him for the outdoor plants, no charges for the indoor grow?) while another buddy ran a 9' plant in his backyard in FULL View of a county sheriff's house!

It's coming down like this all over California. Tuolomne County is arresting legal patients and growers just for growing at all. In fact, I'm thinking about starting a thread because I'm thinking that ICMag has at least a few growers in the region who will be affected.
I'm not sure if this fits here...my woman smokes more than I do!But it's cool to me.
That's were I sit as well. My wife smokes WAY more than I do. I wish she'd equate my vino to her tokin, but then she don't blaze up n stumble around the house LOL :friends:
What gets my goat is that she's cool w/me growin, but wants absolutely nothing to do w/it. She likes the smell, but she's just getting to where she's not all noid cause the house smells when I gots the bloom room open. She has no intrest in learning how to grow. She rarely even looks @ the plants. She wont entertain the thought of me growin to pay the rent. Hell, she wont even grind up her own smoke unless she's desperate. Lazy f'in stoner!

- She was okay with my 'hobby' and able to keep her mouth shut
- Admitted to me when she made a boo-boo by giving out some free bud to two of our close hippy friends while baked. I explained to her why this was a bad idea (she didn't immediately understand), but thanked her for telling me
- She's Colombian and has access to some great genetics when we're down there. Even her mom helps.

mrs. green smokes like a fiend. there is no way she would ever give me any real flak about growing.
we did have an issue with volume one time ....... when i thought about what she was saying the numbers got dropped to sane levels. the best advice usually comes from your corner, the trick is stacking it with coaches and trainers that don't wanna see you learn shit the hard way

You should feel blessed every day for such a finding.
I´ve tried it in the past but i must be a serious stoner because all those past relations turned sour within a few months.
Thankfully i´ve found a Lady that smokes and supports my cannabis related activities and we´ve been very happy for the last 10years Bless her heart!

i thank the good lord for my wife all the time. we talked about it while we were dating and i told her about my hobby then. she was cool with it and i ave a dedicated space.
she likes the whole organic thing so i try to help her with her gardening at times but shes the type that " wants to do it on her own and her way" so i get it and back off and help her when she asks. i start her seeds for her and built her garden bed to her specifications and shes cool with it all.
still doesnt like it when it seems that i spend too much time in the grow room, but i tell her that there are times when i MUST do certain things otherwise the plants dont/wont come out right.
she is a wine drinker and since weve met ive been introduced to a "wine culture" that i never really knew about and i love that shit. we went to a wine tasting, brought along al the snacks and stuff its cool. my boy and his wife came along so he and i walked into the vineyard and blazed some homegrown of mine while a lil tipsy and full of some of the greatest snacks ever (gourmet cheeses/crackers, cherry tomatoes and mozzarella balls in olive oil, some sort of bean salad and some other stuff).
but yeah, its a damned lucky thing to find a person to find a spouse thats cool with them growing/smoking although they dont do it themselves
