Growing in a small containers? + Plant diagnosis?

I'm on my third week of 12/12 grow

i'm growing 3 plants in 2 litre containers ( 3x2litre containers )

On another growing site i had posted that my plants have had a few ' yellowing ' on the leaves and they keep saying it is due to it being rootbound and what not, but for the SOG growers on here i've seen use smaller pots, nothing wrong with their grows?

Anyone enlighten me on growing on small pots? i've kept being told to transplant already..

I've posted pics just to see if anyone can diagnosis anything with my plant as well, would stop me making another thread

- 3 plants, 2 litre bottle ea
- 3 weeks of 12/12 ( since plants, 12/12 grow )
- Sutton sow and grow soil
- Not feeding anything, just water
- 180w CFL

If you say your not feeding

maybe start slowly introducing some nutes into the schedule.

Need more information. What size is your cab? How far are plants from the light? Did you start from seed or clone? In the third pcture it looks like the leaf was bent and the spots look like water marks to me. Water on the leaves act like a magnifying glass and can burn spots on the leaves that look like that.
A picture of th whole plant would help too. It doesn't look like root bind to me but I can't be sure without seeing the whole plant. Also a damaged lesf will not repair itself. Trim off the damaged areas and see if it gets worse.

Holes in the bottoms of those 2 liters? If not, get that!

Your lower leaves are nute burned from the soil. Too hot. Now that the plants are getting bigger, they're more able to handle the fertilizer in the soil. Start giving them light doses of ferts now. Increase the dose and watch what happens. If the tips of the leaves burn, you've gone too far. Oh, and trim off those lower leaves. They'll never regenerate.

That spot on the leaf? That's the result of a water drop being left on it. The drop acts like a magnifying glass.

BTW - They're not anywhere near root-bound.

Thanks for the reply guys!

- The cab size is 56cm W x 37cm D x 80cm H
- The lights are probably 2-3 inches away
- Started from seed

@Whatsupdoc
- Their are holes at the bottom of the containers
- Burnt? Ahh stupid soil, said it was fine for seedlings and such
- Only nutrient i have is tomato feed which is supposed to be fine for plants flowering, this has been a 12/12 grow, the NPK for the tomato feed is 2-2.5-4 ( or 4.5 ) cant remember. the directions are on it for using 30ml ( two capfuls ) in 7 liters of water, since i'm growing in 2 litre bottles are only watering with about a cupful of water.. do you think using 5ml in 2 litres should be fine? then water the 3 plants
- And by trimming do you mean the whole leaf? or just the ' tips ' ?

- And thanks for assuring their not root bound, the other grow site said they were rootbound and i could not grow properly in these bottles..

Thanks for the replies :)

I'd remove all of the burnt lower leaves (The ones with the damaged edges - the one with the burn spot is fine to leave as is). Damaged vegetation invites all kinds of nasties.

Regarding the fertilizer dose, sounds like you're on track with a good, low initial dose.

Best of luck!

Thanks bro
So remove fully the burnt leaves
got it.

So when a plant gets burnt? is that it for the leaves?
or is it to a certain extent you have to remove them.

the leaves die and try to take the punishment so the rest of the plant dosent get infected.once its dead its gone so be carefull and figure it out or the new growth will burn too. removing keeps burnt leaf from falling on the buds, dont want that.
