How I make weak bud stronger.

Headband, I know it seems counter-intuitive but you are throwing away the "good stuff" in the alcohol. Here's something you can try to prove my point. Next time you do your process, instead of throwing the alcohol away let it evaporate in a separate container. Now smoke your processed bud and the left over residue and see which gets you more stoned. What you have been throwing away is very similar to QWISO hash. In fct by letting the herb soak longer you are incorporating more waxes and plant materials that will contaminate your finished product.

Nowhere in there do you mention anything about letting the alcohol evaporate on the buds.

Had you said something like the following:

"Put one or two kinds of bud in a bowl and cover it with the highest proof ethyl alcohol you can find and let it sit overnight. In the morning, squeeze any remaining alcohol out of the bud, draining back into the bowl of alcohol.
Take the bowl of alcohol and pour it over the bud you didn't soak and let it completely evaporate."

I might have said "ok". Unfortunately, what you posted was seriously confusing and tells people to throw away the alcohol with all the active cannabinoids in it. Not surprisingly you received some really negative replies.

Personally.... if you're going to do a solvent extraction like that, make it only a few minutes of shaking, pour it into a pyrex baking dish and let it evaporate completely. Leave the bud out of it and don't do an overnight soak.

You'll get a much better product that burns a lot cleaner and is more medicinal than the waxy dark junk you'd get after soaking all night.

Combining different bud is a great way to get a more complex and possibly complete cannabinoid profile. Been doing that at home with just bud for years.

Okay lets start from the beginning here lol there is nothing here written in stone anyone can tweak this anyway they see fit lol. I did not realize that ppl thought I meant throw the alcohol away this is probably because I just finnished smoking a batch then typed the whole thing and I was pretty high lol.. You can soak this for a week if you want even months lol
If you soak to long the trichomes break down

I would give this a try seems more logical

why dont you just do quick wash ethanol extraction
take your roughly chopped frozen b grade nugs and put them in a mason jar thats been frozen and pour frozen alcohol over the buds and give a gentle shake for about 30 seconds
filter using kitchen stainless steel strainer and unbleached coffee filter on top of a mason jar.
important dont squeeze or ring out buds you get nasty green black oil
this will yeild more amber color, instead of black green


after that your gunna wanna do a hot oil bath at 180F untill your ethanol is completly purged. now scrap it up while its hot because it has tendancy to be rock hard at room temp. and COVER YOUR BUDS WITH IT.

boom way better oil dipped nuggs
this is what some dispensary do with buds, oil, and keif that isnt selling
mix them all together. hopefully making a stronger more inviting product.

Wow, crazy tek. I would keep the soak short to minimize the chlorophyl that soaks into the alcohol. Seems it would be best to just make some good iso. whatevers clever tho man, whatever works for ya.

I would say this bud I'm playing with is about an 8 or lets just say 7 in potency and I'm mixing three types so .. 3 times 7 well you do the math lol it's killer when it's done .. As far as Purple Kush nothing comes close to really fine Purple Kush but damn I don't know the last time I saw that even peace out Headband 707

You could always mix the Green crack and Purple Kush that would be killer ...

This is somthing I do when I can't get Purple Kush or Green Crack so I have to do what I have to do.. These are the things I do...

I take one or two oz's of bud dry in a blender use two different types of bud it won't work if you don't use different types of bud and three types aswell. cover the cannabis with as high alcohol content as you can find and soak over night . That's like saying if you mix 100 proof rum with 100 proof vodka the end product is a 200 proof drink. That's not how the math works.

If you mix three 7 potency strains together, it's still gonna average out to a 7 potency.

LOL gee this is getting really hard for everyone so lets start at the beginning here. Step 1..The buds potency is about 7 0r 8...... I mix three types of bud into another bud ........only bud no shake..
Step 2..

the alcohol is whatever you can find ... As everyone lives in different areas I can not tell ppl what to get ....the stronger the alcohol the less soaking time you need to do.
Step 3....

As far as the amount of bud you use that again is up to you . I'm using about 3 different oz you can use whatever you want .. I then use this blending of 3 oz's with alcohol which I soak overnight/20 min and pour it on my final 2 or 3 oz's of bud... then I let this bud dry out...This takes about 3 or 4 dayz again depending on where your at ,,,, if this is not clear then I can't help you guys anymore ....As far as not getting what ppl are saying,,, yeah I get it ......headband707 now I'm going to smoke another one .......and keep laughin............!!!!!!!!!!........

i understand, but imo there is still residue left over after it dries...ever let your used weed from iso dry up? it still smells like solvent...so my guess is it tastes like it too and you would be inhaling residue as well....but this is just my opinion
