well I assume when you say sap you mean a rock hard glassy erl. if its buddering up it might just be strain dependent like i said before ive had strains turn from rock hard glass into completly dry budder just by letting it sit in open air for a few days.

try a differnt strain and bring the oil up to 170F before putting it into the purge chamber with zero whipping or stirring. you should get rock hard shatter/sap. unless sap is a different texture ?

dont get discouraged in oil making its all trial and error

if you don't want your purge chamber ne more krunch, id probably look into it. i'm up north and about to start my oil works from this last go around.

what amount could you purge at a time in it?

Don't sign it off yet dude, did you heat the oil before vacuum? Heat is vacumms' best friend when making oil. A little bit of 190 proof everclear can make it clear again but then you will need to purge the everclear.

i vac today for A LONG TIME.....

heated the dish about 15 times in a 170 degree over for 2-3 minutes at a time, the vac right after....

the oil is almost budder, but still moist, yet it does not stick to your hand....

odd, this oil has LESS smoke then the oil i have been smoking for a while in my vape pen for some reason...

I've found most times that I've vac purged it turns into budder. The mastercool vac that I use imploded one of the cheap plastic containers after a couple purges, talk about scare the hell outta yourself! I definitely need one of those Nalgene containers, had my eye on it for a bit.

how much did you vac it? I only vac mine a few minutes and it gets all bubbly and turns to a kinda seafoam consistency. It starts to 'foam' around -30 hg or w/e
