Is delusion an oft visited realm?

Should there be a minimum wage?

How would you address the faceless corp. problem?

There should be no government minimum wage. It has screwed us. If it kept up with the times minimum wage would be over 15 dollars and hour. It would be better if there was no set acceptable amount and we could let individuals or unions of individuals decide how much there time is worth though negotiation with an employer. aka capitalism.

90 percent of Mc. Jobs out there are freaking slave labor, because people cant afford to quit much less take time off to find a better job. They have to work 80 hours a week and can barely eat or live in a one bedroom efficiency, which is basically a slave hut.

The only thing that is missing is the chains and whip, but they are there on a more abstract level. DEBT = CHAINS. PIGS = WHIPS.

no offense, but you complain about shit jobs, for shit wage, working shit hours with no time to try to improve. you complain about slave labor, but yet you disagree with a min wage that you, yourself said should be over $15 an hour if it kept up with inflation...

i think you need to understand that companies and corporations will take advantage of everything, everybody and anything they can so they can have bigger profits...

that's not only un-American in my eyes it's fucking disgusting....

Capitalism left unchecked will fuck the employee everytime...

We should be called the UNITED STATES OF GREED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Before my father died of cancer in his 40's he was making over 500k a year as a higher up in a corporation. He started in the mail room of the company sorting mail. Got promoted, got promoted again, again, and again. He started work at 6am left at 6pm, Not a single sick day in the 25 years of employment with his company. He brought the company from net losses to net gains.

Do you consider him a 1%? should his wealth be spread around? ?
altho imo a company that would pay an exec 500k a year even with poor job performance from tax payer bailouts makes me absolutly livid.

i just dont get, what does the 99% want?

I read Arod who is the 3B for the NYY, who makes over 27.5million PER YEAR. didnt even make it to the top 1%.

Almost all small busniess owners make less than him, im sure your Papa did to.

If you cant figure out that the top 1% can keep the other 99% down, there is ZERO hope for you.

If a democracy is 1 person 1 vote, the top 1% should have as much pull as the bottom 1%

Has even 1% of the 99%even held a job for 25 years?

WOW. A guy with a poppy facination wonders if 1% of the 99% has held a job? Brillaint. YES 0.9% of the population HAS HAD A JOB.

Enjoy the opuim dreams, you seem to be in full REM.

Now you go and make me feel bad for razzing ya, somniferum420.

You asked me where I'd cap executive pay. I'm not qualified to answer. That said, I'd resist pay caps. IMO, it's not how much one makes, it's whether they're contributing or extracting. Not sure where to draw the line there, either.

I agree, getting money out of politics would be a great start.

CEOs of companies who fail and receive bailouts should get ZERO fucking dollars.

Thats my start.

company doesn't make money, CEO gets ZIP !!!!

Shareholders need to wake the fuck up, but so does the whole country...

I disagree. Capitalism unchecked will make humanity flourish since we have invented unions. the G.O.P. wants to destroy unions because they do not like capitalism. they like corporatism which is a form of fascism where the richest 1 percent controls all the business and the government and combine them to suit their needs. This is the current form of government in the USA.

Let me explain how minimum wage screws us.

Dag said it about minimum wage. when you set a minimum it becomes the maximum because that is what they can get away with for sure with no back lash. In a right to work state where there is no unions and only minimum wage you are a slave basically, and it is very hard to advance. you have no way to collective bargain and all you can do is wait for government to raise minimum wage which takes years.

A union is a private sector group of people that work together in capitalism to decide what their labor is worth not the government. When a corporation decides they want to push the boundaries with the people that work there then they are taking a risk of a strike, which can cause the company to crash. Therefore the workers have clout. Sometimes unions do go overboard, but the right to collectively bargain is crucial and ensures fairness and a level playing field in capitalism.

this is all speaking from direct experience of living in a right to work state. the extreme opposite where a union has gone to far would be Detroit. Their union workers bankrupted the auto industry.

To truly understand capitalism you have live in it. unfortunately no one here under the age of 75 has. Real capitalism as been dead since the creation of the federal reserve. Now we are just a country of corporatism.

RON PAUL 2012!

I dont even like him because he wants to end the drug war, i like ron paul because of his foreign policy and ending the war. If we stopped policing the world we would be in much better shape financially. Not to mention everything else he wants to do to balance the budget.

As of right now im a little worried about our economy collapsing. Ive thought about opening up a chinese or canadian bank account.

Obama hasnt really done shit, we need serious change in our country, not just petty bullshit that doesnt really make a difference. Ron Paul is the only guy who will make serious changes that we desperately need.

I may immigrate to canada if RP doesnt win.

i would agree with this if every single company had to employee people that belong to unions..., but in reality across the south this is just not the case...
