I have read some of these posts and I am ashamed of you people! No matter what you think occupy is best thing that happened to this country in years!! Finally some patriots are standing up! I support Occupy!!!! Those Americans that dont support it are blind or scared! I read alot of posts of peoples morels and ethics on this site and I am disapointed in the ones who have nothing positive to say!! When my kids ask me what I did about Climate change,Politics and offshore banking! I have a story of positivity and protest! You ney sayyers will just lie to your kids or just tell them you jumped off the cliff blindly like the rest of the sheep!!! Too Bad!

I like Paul also!! but our system is broken and he can not fix it!! But he is our only hope for working capitolism!!! Also NDAA was not brought on by OWS! *It was coming nomatter what! If it wasnt for OWS you would have never heard NDAA!!!!!

i also believed we were seeing an evolution of social and political import.

the media has things under control, obviously. painting the movement with strokes from an Hieronymus Bosch painting, and smirking while pointing out the ineptitude.
several posters in this thread are taking pokes at the idea we could make change when they should be recognizing and supporting the principals of the Constitution and Bill of Rights...before they no longer pertain .
we are at war. it has not been pretty to this point and i see it getting much worse, yet some of you with your snide remarks about someone else's ideals reek of the apathy that cemented our current predicament.
will OWS survive and overcome?
personally i would love to see the FED (private bank) eliminated, term limits for politicians, the military/industrial complex destroyed, donations to political candidates stopped, and the treasury of the People restored! ...Restoration of Americas Values!
if OWS is the beginning of these ends, i support it.

How long did that take to find that pic!!^^^^Your right we are lazy!! ANd this movement is work! We all Occupy the couch or the bong all the time!! It is time to get off our asses and do something that doesnt involve your own selfishness!! It takes time to be a better human!! We all grow at are own pace! My kids freedom has taught me this, I will fight to keep this for them!!!!
The right question and analysis.
IMO, the most pressing issue is the repeal of money as free speech.
Buckley vs Valeo - 1976: SCOTUS ruling recognizes money as free speech.
Citizens United - 2010: SCOTUS ruling recognizes unlimited spending in elections, including foreign corporations.
Several organizations are gathering signatures demanding a constitutional amendment barring money as free speech. The amendment would end private money in elections and force transparent, public financing. Media outlets would be required to donate time to candidates.
Very interesting questions risen there, can't wait to see occupy's answers.

The least we can do is stay civilized and feel him/her welcome.
Whatever his opinions are we should be able to talk like civilized people and respect somebody for fighting peacefully for its opinion.

Sorry guys. We let a previous Occupy thread go for a while because it had no goals, no platform, no candidate. When simply an observation of a social gathering it was OK but, it soon turned to politics as has this thread and so, again, we're closed.
Remember kids, no politics except those that refer specifically to cannabis legislation.
