Running out of Space - Need advice

I need some help fellow growers. I have 5" of space left before my baby hits the top of the cab and I think she has a lot more to go. Please provide any advice you can. I added another hook (not pictured) for LST'ing about 5" lower the hook not the left. Below is the information that I think you will need.

Female Seeds (Grapefruit)
16 Days in Flower
30" Tall
Currently averaging ~1" a night growth
Flipped @ 8 inches
Failed topping I just have one big Cola
SCROG (I think it looks "ok" for the 1st time)
Coco-Hempy (dyna-gro nutes)
150W HPS

Options I Have come up with
1. LST the top to the hook on the left side appears to buy 1-2"
2. Take her out of the cab and let it her grow in the closet (wife is going to flip out) Not sure how to control the smell in such a open space

Id start tie'n em down but it looks a lil late, you probably wont see to much more strech though, and the angle you're light is mounted on make it seems like it doens't matter if they hit the roof, if you're able to rotate them they'll get relatively equal lighting

Your plants are hyper stretched. With a 150 I doubt it's heat. Most likely from insufficient wattage and high placement. Next time, reduce garden footprint to 3 sq ft, get the lamp down to where the plants can find it. Plants don't know much but they know where the good light is and will do whatever it takes to get there including harm themselves.

For now, supercrop. Crush stem between thumb and forefinger, rotate grip 90º and crush again. Fold stem at the crush and be prepared to tie her down as some strains will simply straighten up.

Yeah I messed up this SCROG, I should have started tieing down until they hit the SCROG, but they grew so freakin fast it caught be off guard and I was not very aggressive with the SCROG. Liev and learn. The light was centered but I didn't want to risk burning her up. I moved the light yesterday.

I kept the light at 6" from the highest point at all times, should I have kept it closer, if so how close? Honestly I thought it was the sativa genes....though I'm willing to accept that I messed up. Researching super cropping now.

"A new style sativa; early maturing, fast flowering and maximum yielding. The buds have a soft smell of grapefruit, sweet taste and intense tropical high. This is a 75% C’99 x 25% strong fruity sativa, stabilised on early maturity for some generations now. Plants grow up to 50 to 60 cm, when put under 12/12 hrs after one week of germination. This one is still undergoing an stability-program, although with 80% being winners not a bad choice. No males or male flowers found. For those who like it sweet !"

I wouldn't say "messed up". They're stretched but, color is good, I see no burns. I suspect some fine smoking will be had in a few months. My T*HazexSkunk#1 was in full stretch mode for 6 months of 12/12. Don't expect yours to stop like an indica would.

Sativas are often so flexible that crushing is unneeded (and usually ignored) just bend them and tie. I got to a point I tied them in loops.

Check the chart and you'll see that 6 inches sacrifices half the light available at 4". Minimum lighting is considered 50 watts per square foot or, an area 18" x 24".

Freezer, good looking out on the chart. I'm going to start keeping the light at 4" inches on my next grow Bubblegummer(FMS). I'm actually LSTing her now, she is going to my mother plant for a couple grows.

My cab is 17" x 21" so ~2.5 sqft footprint, that should put me at roughly 60 watts per sqft.

I do like the idea of bending and tie down a bit more then supercropping, since I'm pretty new to this. She is sleeping right now. Should I bend her right before watering. I read that they are a little more flexible when they are thristy

Mine are DWC, drink all day and offered no resistance. They folded, bent, went in circles with no effort. Indicas are stiffer and that's where the "crushing" comes in. It softens the area prior to the fold. There is a chance of splitting but, we largely don't care. If the split is vertical, wrap a twist tie around it and it will heal in a few days. If Horizontal, straighten up, twist tie, it will heal in a few days and we try again higher or lower.

Here's an indica with a hole big enough to stick your thumb through (lighter for scale only). Stiff as celery, crushing with a capital CRUSH was required. Plant didn't care. Note also the 90º bend in the main stem

Personally, I do consider SC as a last resort preferring ScrOG from the beginning.

I tied them down and did a very mild supercropping yesterday. It is not pretty but i have more space and my bud sites are alot more visible. More notes for my next grow. I did some tucking of fan leaves this morning, strangely enough today i notice that she didn't grow much at all but the buds are getting plumper. Once again thanks for all the help
